Tea Party being compared to KKK

Posted on 10/19/2013 6:30:25 AM PDT by Tennessee Conservative

Please excuse any mistakes but I'm new. I'm a member of a bicycling forum and they hate me for being a Conservative and a Tea Party supporter. The forum has a political section.

Last night there was a thread comparing the Tea Party to the KKK. I normally keep my mouth shut but the Tea Party hatred there was more than the norm. I reminded them that the Democrats were behind the founding of the KKK and provided links. One link was even from the Black Republican website. They called the KKK the terrorist arm of the Democrat party. Of course some of them started attacking me and stating that the Democrats and Republicans then have switched and the Republicans of now were actually the Democrats from then and on and on and on.

I'm a supporter of our local Tea Party and have never seen anything racist in the group or others that I have followed. They even have a Black member or two.

What is wrong with these people? Was I wrong or are they just severely warped? I'm going to leave that group because it is more infested with Liberals than I realized and it's only a matter of time before they make me mad enough to get banned anyway.

If I posted this incorrectly or in the wrong place, please tell me so that I know better next time.

Since I ride alone and I’m not a member of any riding group I will probably just figure out my own problems from now on. It really stunned me that they were so angry and belligerent and that I had fallen into such a nest of vipers. Now I know.

It does make you feel good doesn’t it?

I did exactly the same thing when Obama won the second term. It was so obvious that there was a lot of cheating and I was furious that so many had fallen for him again.

I posted on my Facebook that if any of my friends voted for and supported Obama to “get off my page”. I keep a small friend’s list, mostly family and very good friends, so I doubt I lost any but I will remove or deny any that even sound like they approve of Obama. I have received friend requests from people I suspected were liberals and I refused to accept them. I don’t need friends like that.

I am proud to know that I have just as many Tour de France wins as Lance Armstrong.

Usually I will not dignify such comments by responding however if I am agitated I have a few come backs:

-- Sigmund Fraud called it projection ; In other words it’s the guilty one that always points the finger.

-- Liberals are obsessed with race and always play the race card as a coping mechanism to alleviate their own white guilt and racist feelings.

-- Playing the race card is for lazy pseudo intellectuals incapable of debating the real issues.

-- Enlighten them about the racist history of the Democratic party. Ask them if they ever heard of George Wallace, Bull Conner or segregationist Woodrow Wilson.

-- Play the Al Sharpton card. Sharpton has a long history of anti-Semitic and racist behavior. The fact that he is a major spokesman for the Democrats shows how morally corrupt the party has become.

-- It aint the Tea Party that ruined once great cities.

-- Ask them where the “Bush was bankrupting the country” crowd went. Isn’t it racist to NOT have the same ethical expectations from Obama?

Also, tell them that the Civil Rights Act of 1959 was filibustered and delayed for 5 years by Sen Byrd and Al Gore Sr (until very recently current members of the Democrat party).

Don’t let them get away with that BS line that all the racists went to the Republican party and the Civil rights angels all became Democrats...it simply isn’t true.

Someone’s white guilt is showing a true progressive liberal if you don’t have an answer blame someone that has nothing to do with a problem.

That was one long odd video. I’m not even sure if I understood what was going on in it, but I get your point.

Ah, yes. That is known as "the big lie." There is no factual basis in that whatsoever. Another Democrat talking point.

The Communists are afraid of the Tea Party patriots and are trying to destroy them by demonizing them.

It’s discouraging that the minority portion of their supporters are so stupid that they believe anything they are told. I don’t understand that mentality even though I see it over and over. Even those that I have worked with in the past that I know are educated will believe whatever they are told to believe without question. None of them seem to ever think for themselves.

Critical thinking is the enemy of political correctness and leftism. Thinking leads to questioning, and questioning threatens the underpinnings of this corrupt and evil ideology.
