We spend a lot of time looking at cat videos, cat photos, all things cat. But what do cats see when they look at us and the world around them?

The photos below hypothesize what human and cat vision looks like. Human vision is up top and cat vision is below.

My first cat was strictly one dimensional.

Now the second cat was from a totally different crowd

I do feeding and general care, DH is the giver of skrichies and thrower of sparkly balls and George T is very vocal in the fact he approves of this.

However when one of us is sick that person gets cuddled with.

He either loves us or is waiting for us to die so he can eat us.

Aw pretty kitty. He looks like the sweet stray we let sleep on the porch. He’s an intact male who wanders around listening to himself loudly meow, stinking things up with his markings, and being terribly, terribly rude to the lady cats. He also has a big jowly face.

We call him Teddy Kennedy.

I’m hoping to grab him some day and impose upon him some free healthcare, ifyaknowwhatImean.

Your local humane society or feral rescue group might be willing to loan you a live trap.

Oh he wouldn’t need that, he’s very gentle. I’ve actually crammed tapeworm pills down his throat with hardly a struggle this summer. It’s the setting up an appointment that’s tricky. He doesn’t come by on a schedule, and I can’t keep him in the house because he’s a relentless sprayer. Snuck into the house once and nailed the couch before I even got across the living room, the little bastid.

I do want to get him fixed and housed by winter, though. It’s cooling off here in AR and he wants IN. :(

Gotcha.

If you want to post a thread about the spraying problem I’ll be happy to ping it.

You mean like an advice thread? That would be nice! He has been parked on our door mat the past few days. I think he’s stalking me. ;)
