The following is a correction to the Czar's pick on the Arizona State-Notre Dame game, which is being played in Arlington, and not in San Antonio, as is indicated in his original pick.
Arizona State vs. Notre Dame
The 3-1 Sun Devils stuck a fork in USC coach Lane Kiffin in a 62-41 runaway. Quarterback Taylor Kelly led the team in rushing with 79 yards on four carries, while also passing for 351 yards and three TDs.
At 3-2, the Fighting Irish have lost to their first two ranked opponents: Michigan (41-30) and Oklahoma (34-20). Last week against OU, quarterback Tommy Rees threw for only 104 yards, 41 of which he gave back on three interception returns.
This game is being played at what is now supposed to be called AT&T Stadium, in Arlington, but is better known as Cowboys Stadium. Mind you, there is also a Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock, and an arena called the AT&T Center in San Antonio. The former Pac Bell Park in San Francisco is now also called AT&T Park. If any of these AT&T facilities ever hosts something called the Meineke Bowl, dont worry about trying to figure out how to get there. Just ask Tony.
Arizona State 30, Notre Dame 22
ND shocks the world and runs the ball, a la Stanford. ND 35, ASU 27.
Go Sun Devils.
Sunday morning, Trojan fans were singing this song.
Thanks for getting Kiffin’s ass fired at the airport! LOL!
The absolute funniest game ever, was the Cal vs the Stanford Band in 1982. A classic.
Right on!
