Good game in Happy Valley on Saturday. Let’s go Lions!
Fingers crossed for the Hawkeyes’ visit to Ames, IA.
They have not looked very good in their past two non-conf games.
Gig ‘em Aggies!
says this Longhorn fan
... using your second string quarterback.
7:00 PM PDT Occidental College at Pacific of Oregon
Go, Oxy Tigers! Kayo the Boxers!
“...I followed them even when they used to suck.”
Ha!, Like me and Vanderbilt but the Black and Gold have an uphill battle Saturday at South Carolina.
I look for Alabama to handle Texas A&M this time but the Crimson Tide is likely to stumble against somebody this season as there are too many very talented teams on the schedule.
I cannot believe KF is under contract through 2020. The best I can tell, his current buyout is around $17 million. Whoever the AD was that agreed to those terms shouldn’t be allowed near the place. If he doesn’t turn it around - and it doesn’t really look that good - you guys are just screwed.
FYI..much talk that if USC cans Kiffin real soon, they will more than double Fitzgerald’s salary to get him to jump.
Whoop! I’m jealous that my son is going to the game!
Vandy’s an interesting story...they get a hot young coach..have some success at recruiting, have a great year last season, and t hen what, half the team gets suspended or dismissed. Do you have to recruit thugs to win. The program was always squeaky clean..now this...it’s a shame.
One thing rarely mentioned..that the games at Kyle...and ‘Bama’s NEVER experienced that before..
What’s the O/U on that game..95?
You missed the #19 Univ. of Washington vs. Illinois at 3:30...But I won’t!
My bad, I was on Pacific time...
Exactly! They’re in for quite a shock.
Well not for almost 25 years. The game was originally scheduled for September 1988, but was postponed till December due to concerns that a hurricane would hit near Houston and travel through College Station. By the time the game was played, Jackie Sherill was out as the A&M coach due to another recruiting scandal involving A&M players. R. C. Slocum was the acting head coach.
Thanks...Back then, Kyle Field only held about 65,000..it’s had 2 or 3 renovations/expansions since..and wasn’t as loud. Also, the endzone seats were much further from the closed end of the field. It’s far different today...and after the upcoming expansion to 105,000 or so..it’s really gonna be something..
Oregon’s doing about 60 @ game, I don’t see Tennessee getting 35. I’d take the under.
Alabama’s second string is better than A&M’s starters. The only way Bama loses this game is for the loudmouth little worm midget of a quarterback to once again cause them fits. If Bama can keep this arrogant prick in the pocket there is no way they lose to this team. If not, they can very easily lose it. The officials, the media, everyone and their brother wants Alabama to lose. A&M will be given every call in the book.
