One thing rarely mentioned..that the games at Kyle...and ‘Bama’s NEVER experienced that before.. Well not for almost 25 years. The game was originally scheduled for September 1988, but was postponed till December due to concerns that a hurricane would hit near Houston and travel through College Station. By the time the game was played, Jackie Sherill was out as the A&M coach due to another recruiting scandal involving A&M players. R. C. Slocum was the acting head coach.
