I have a usb3 docking station and it’s OK, but this appears to fix what’s wrong with it (I’d hope).

I still dont get the point of having up to 5 monitors, but to each his own.I love using 3 monitors for coding. One is "current state", one is "change state", and the last is for the code.

The thing that appears to have killed it is the price — I saw some of the Seagate Flex drive boots for Thunderbolt on clearance for $100, ridiculous.

Lots of implications here. Multiple monitors and USB ports allows me - maybe - FINALLY - to contemplate a desktop replacement lappy. Graphics are still going to be an issue for gamers but if I can have two or three 1920x1080 monitors I could roll just exactly as I am right now at work, and home would be a snap.
Why Intel missed the gate is a bit of a mystery, but projects are like that sometimes. Somebody gonna make a little coin off this one if I am not mistaken.
