Well, I know this is true because when my kids do not get a soda they get really mad.

How many were drinking regular soda and how many were drinking diet soda?

Almost all kids today drink soda, not all kids are aggressive Are all kids that drink soda aggressive? Are any kids that do not drink soda less aggessive? Something wrong with the logic of this study.

Soda and sugary drinks will rot your teeth and do internal damage. But, if junk food companies employee millions. So, you get rotting teeth and diabetes, but you make up by providing livelihood for millions. Let the market decide. A lot of well educated and healthy people stay away from junk, so it might turn out good for the human species in the long run.

When we were growing up my mom limited us to one soda per day, Which is why I loved to stay with my grandmother during the summer as she let us have as many 6oz Cokes as we wanted!

So what was going on in the 40’s, 50’s, 60, 70’s and 80’s where was the children’s aggression with soda then? I don’t think it’s soda I think it the sad state of families and society today. These studies always look for something other than reality to for a reason why our current society behaves as it does.

Taking this together with the dishwasher Pod toddler death just reinforces my personal belief that the is nothing than more BS that is pushing an agenda. I believe neither story taken at face value and this particular horsecrap only makes me believe that my instincts concerning the other story are directly on target.

LOL That’s a giant steaming load of BS. I loved Sprite/7Up as a kid and I was really quiet.

I think lack of appropriate whacking of the butt cheeks with a rod is another cause.

I know that isn’t done anymore, but it is Scriptural.

When I was a young kid, we had cokes but if I got too aggressive, my father also got aggressive with a switch cut from a tree. He cured my aggression very quickly. I bet that same solution would work just as well now.

It doesn’t take an Einstein to know that a Mountain Dew will get a kid climbing the walls

I’m getting a bit disgusted with all of these “scientific studies”.

I guess all of us unedumacated yahoos are supposed to roll over to the great scientific god and be impressed enough to change our lives because we just too stooped to do otherwise?

This is not really science. It’s some researcher taking a mother’s recollection of what her child does and “filtering” out other factors in the child’s life to come up with what I feel is a conclusion based on anecdotal evidence.

I think this may have less to do with kids drinking pop than it has to do with the parenting skill of people that would let a child drink 4 pops a day. If kids aren’t taught some level of self control - and that includes beverage consumption - there’s no reason to think they wouldn’t be more likely to act aggressively in order to get what they want.

Perhaps they’re more aggressive because they found out they can push their parents around and get all the soft drinks they want. If they can control their parents with aggression, why not anyone else they come in contact with?

Sugar and caffeine makes kids aggressive.
