The Dallas Cowboys are known for their international brand and high profile partnerships. The stadium rights deal that will re-name Cowboys Stadium as AT&T Stadium is just the latest example, falling after the likes of the Yankees (with Legends Hospitality).
Yet, the Cowboys' newest partner brings a significantly lower profile. In the years ahead, the Cowboys will be co-tenants of a to-be constructed indoor football facility being constructed to specifications set by the Frisco Independent School District.

Hank Hill had the right idea, just no money behind it. Looks like the new facility will be two to three times as far away from Cowboy's Stadium than the current one is.
I believe that several retired Cowgirls, including Deion, live in the Frisco area.
National implications are when are the local high school powerhouse teams in other cities going to want their own dome? Next will probably be Ohio.
They need to separate schools and sports from their symbiotic relationships.
This is the state that just built a 60 million dollar high school stadium.
I played high school football in Texas and at the time, we had the fanciest stadium in the state, but even in adjusted dollars it wasn’t 60 mil.
Why Allen, Texas, Built a $60 Million High School Football Stadium (smart Texans)

Our team here in MS has astroturf but we don’t have a dome.
Yeah, they do... don't need to rub it in.
My neighbor in the mid 80s was a cowboys cheerleader... cute outfit but it took a lot of makeup to get her game face on. :)
Yep... he’s got that “white elephant” of a mansion just a few miles north of 380. Not sure if he’s still living there after his divorce... he’s trolling around the area though, opening fake schools to churn out “affletes”...
And the artificial turf has demonstrated a lower incidence of player injuries - mainly knee injuries.
My son's middle school FB field has astroturf...but there's a good reason for that. During our Texas summers, you have to water the fields to keep large cracks from forming. The artificial turf mitigates that problem.
This field is used several times a week most of the year, for football and soccer.
I've been to the Allen stadium, it's a beaut!
The stadium in Frisco will be used a ton, too: football games, band competitions, graduations, soccer, lacrosse, etc.
This is an agreement between the Cowboys and Frisco ISD. The facility will serve as a practice facility for the Cowboys and a Facility for the FISD seven high schools to use on Thursday / Friday nights. It will seat some 12,000 fans for football and 22,000 for concerts.
Well we had the son of Fred Smith come in and play a year from out of state. Got a astroturf field and a wieght room that makes ole miss and state blush out of it.
Or, people need to be active participants in their own recreation instead of watching and idolizing other people.
I wouldn't be surprised that for player safety, the NFL may mandate the use of FieldTurf or its equivalent at any stadium where inclement weather conditions can quickly damage grass fields. Both Gillette Stadium (the home stadium of the Patriots) and M&T Bank Stadium (the home stadium of the Ravens) now use modern artificial turf fields because of the bad experience with grass fields falling apart from late fall rains.
