If you're spending that kind of money, you'd be interested in a Class III Mini Vulcan Gun,
or maybe this Browning 1919 Beltfed 22LR Machine Gun

And now that it’s too late to cancel the order with Natchez, I find the prices at Cabela’s to be significantly lower.

Try Cheaper than dirt, they sent me an email saying they had new stocks of ammo in.
They are expensive. I manage a small store, and yes, we have a website, too. I see CTD and laugh how they are gouging people way over what most small shops are charging!
MFg. prices did go way up after April 1st, and like gas, I don't expect it to go down for a while, and it'll never be what it was before. I suspect the ammo manufacturers 9and distributors) are not helping the situation, and are enjoying the lingering drought...

It’s been more available here and there. Leave it alone, and prices will fall more.

But for those who need it, it's now available.

Thanks for the info, but no sale.

These internet guys have bought up a lot and don’t seem to be getting the price back to near normal.

22 WMR (22 Mag) is still going for 14 for a box of 50 when it does show up at Cabela’s. The internet “whoelsale” places still want $29.50 for it. Double the retail.

My bricks cost a bit more than your bricks, but hey, at least we both have sufficient inventories of bricks!

That’s understandable. The hysteria is getting old, though (the anti-Second-Amendment situation created by a few politicians, neurotic constituents and middlemen). The general anti-Second-Amendment effort is obviously an unhealthy effort to disarm certain large classes and groups of people just before many more fall from good incomes and standards of living (austerity measures ahead).

Wife called me on her way home from the U.P. two weeks ago. Said Cabela's outside Green Bay had .223 and 9mm ammo, which I've been looking hard for here in the People's Socialist RepuliK of Illinois.

She called me when she was there and asked "how much should I buy?"

I said ALL OF IT.

Here in IL where I live, we haven't been able to FIND .223 or 9mm, and when you did, it was maybe a few boxes here or there. So when I said "all of it" I figured Cabela's had a few boxes.

Her response: "there's over 100 boxes of .223 with 500 rds in them, and I can't count all the 9mm. Sure you want me to buy it all?" (she said rather sarcastically...)

Suffice it to say, I'm rather well re-supplied and I was amazed when she showed me the receipt. .223 was less than 30 cents a round, 9mm was about 37 cents a round buying in bulk.

Not bad as best I could tell.

Yes, ammoseek.com said Natchez had the best price on primers. I should have searched around myself to make sure. The very first place I looked, Cabela’s, was cheaper per brick of primers, and charged less for hazmat, by a significant amount.

Sorry. I always found them to be pretty correct at least for ammo. They found me the only two boxes of 7.5 x 54 French MAS in the country I think.
