A new documentary, which airs tonight on PBS, explores the psychology behind yellow fever - the phenomenon that sees white men attracted to, and sometimes even obsessed with, Asian women.
Filmed and directed by Debbie Lum, a fourth-generation Chinese-American from St Louis, Missouri, Seeking Asian Female looks to discover why many men see Asians as ideal wives, a concept that is 'very painful for the Asian-American community,' Ms Lum told ABC News.

Seriously though, I have been reading alot of WW2 history lately and I can't help but wonder if anyone in 1940 America ever thought we would be as interracially bred as we are now. (which IMHO I think is a good thing, it sticks in the craw of early 19th century progressives like Margette Sanger, The Klan, Planned Parenthood and most famously Der Fuhrer)

Actually it’s Asian women who seek out white men, as women are generally the one selecting mates in human society.Men ask and women choose between suitors.
Liberals can’t stand when there is any type of harmony between races, on a personal or large scale level.
It is probably more “painful” for the Asian men that are “left over” that are not seen as ideal mates by white, black, nor Hispanic women.
Thank Goodness I don’t describe myself or allow myself to be described as a “Fourth Generation Russian British American.”
Then again perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I am unusually, even unhealthily partial to women of white ethnicity.
Sadly, tragically, I never could reconcile notions of “romance” and “love” with ancestor worship, kwanzaa, body odor, the Buddha, child abuse, arranged marriages, or food that smells like faeces.
Maybe I should see someone about my problem, or write a book about my life-long, racist perversion.

I used to work with a group of around 50 Japanese students at a Summer retreat. The Japanese only stayed perhaps half the Summer and were about even girls and boys.
There would always be 2 or 3 really pretty Japanese Girls and they were always smiling and cheerful. I noticed the Japanese boys selected the same ones I would have as the prettiest.
I personally like White girls with light brown or yellow hair, tho I have seen some really beautiful black headed girls who had blue or green eyes. I have a niece who has black hair and green eyes same as her Father. He was named handsomest at high school and his Daughter was queen of her University.
I very seldom see a Black girl who is attractive unless she is almost too white to tell. I think Eskimos are good people but they are not physically attractive.
During the time I worked at the aforementioned Summer retreat, I came to realize where the best looking girls came from. It can be simply put as they are from the Southern States or states which border them. One of the prettiest girls I have ever seen was from way South Illinois. Another real babe came from Moultrie Georgia. Over all I would say South Carolina produces the prettiest girls, but any Southern state will be close.
But there are plenty of Asian men who marry white women these days. I guess that isn’t “painful’ to the Asian community?

Most Asian women have beautiful complexions and hairless arms and legs. Very feminine and other perks not to be discussed here. LOL

I think you may be on to something.
Everybody marries everybody.
But the percentages are different.
There are more Asian women that marry outside their race/ethnicity than Asian men.
You don’t have to google much to find lots of blogs of Angry Asian men complaining about this.
Same goes for the fact that there are more black men that marry outside their race than black women. And you don’t have to search far to find angry black women who are upset about this.
Makes you think if there is an opportunity in match making service for left over Asian men and black women ?
If I were a bit younger I would really like Sunny, she seems more down to Earth than some of the others. If you see some of the first season of that reality show “Invincible Youth” she is the one grabbing the chickens and not minding doing the dirty work.
I have a yen for Asian women.
Who cares? As a single, 48-year old white guy, it sounds like a dang fine arrangement to me.
