Sounds like the judge unleashed some faith-based tyranny on the parents.

The judge is supposed to restrict himself to the law regardless of circumstances as I understand the law.
I understand the point of the >>Title<< Messiah....is not in fact a NAME
Jesus The Christ....THE MESSIAH
perhaps the judge secretly craves being referred to as MESSIAH?

Apple is not a name either insofar as I know, yet it is the name of the child of Gwyneth Paltrow.

“Messiah was No. 4 among the fastest-rising baby names in 2012, according to the Social Security Administration’s annual list of popular baby names.” I didn’t know that.

Apparently “North” is now a name and not just a direction.

Although Apple is not strictly a traditional Name. neither is it a title.
However, the judge is walking on thin ice regardless of his spiritual convictions

Apparently North is now a name and not just a direction. A boy's name or a girl's name?

What the?? Wait a minute here...Although I'm no fan of someone calling their kid "Messiah" what right does the government have to dictate what you call your kid? Oh that's right, I forgot...we no longer live in a Constitutional republic. *Slaps head* I forgot. We must all serve the state and what the state dictates. Thank you Democraps and the RINO party, splendid job.
Mr. Wordsworth! You will name the child what the STATE decides! You are OBSOLETE!

I wonder if Prince and Madonna ever changed their name legally? Cecil fielder named his son Prince. I know a person named King. They are all titles.
