PCs have a way of bringing out the worst in us when things go wrong, and according to a recent nationwide survey conducted by Harris Interactive on behalf of Crucial in June 2013, some even tend to get physical.
Out of over 2,000 U.S. adults ages 18 and older who were surveyed, more than a third -- 36 percent -- of Americans who experienced computer problems in the past six months admit to lashing out at their PC by using vulgar language, screaming, shouting, and even punching it or using an object to beat down the insolent machine.

Oh I get it, this article is to get us to quit cussing at the NSA; its not about the computer.
A long time ago I used to own a Compaq desktop computer. It would upset me with its frequent stops and crashes, which got me into the habit of smacking it when it would do so. One day, I smacked it, and I heard something from within fall, and the computer was finally dead.
Now I use, primarily, laptops, and none give me the kind of trouble that desktop did. So, I don’t abuse my computers anymore.
Are liberals going to create a special victim status for computers now?

Oh gosh, I hope so. My wife would get the computer abuse person of the year award. Let’s just say when she is on her computer I have a pillow on my lap in case I have to protect myself.

Now the libs are standing up against verbal abuse of computers.
I found that posting a profanity laden memo on Facebook does more to get my message across to the programmers responsible for #@CKing up what formerly worked on that site than shouting out loud. I also get the pleasure of seeing others agree that the changes suck and cause them browser problems as well.
Like politicians, computers need to be threatened from time to time.

All computer companies used to sell-off-the shelf desktops without enough RAM to keep the price down. Increasing the amount of RAM would have solved your problem.
In my lifetime I have body slammed two laptops and one blackberry, much to the detriment of my wallet.
