Fossils are put here by satan to confuse everyone....

Earth is only as old as the oldest living person...

The speed of light is a myth too...

The speed of light is a speed limit for communication via photons. Quantum entanglement shows ‘something’ can communicate much faster.

If the flood killed the animals of earth, their remains would be deposited in a single flood layer.

The remains of ancient life are actually distributed across numerous layers, suggesting they were deposited over time, not in one dramatic event.

I agree. Salvation has nothing to do with one’s opinion on the age of the earth.

If the flood killed the animals of earth, their remains would be deposited in a single flood layer.

The same would be true if a meteor killed the animals, their remains would be deposited in a single meteor layer like the K-T Boundary.

There is no such "kill" layer.

All dinos but one were long gone by the K-T Boundary and that one, a species of Hardasaur lived another 700,000 years past it.

The fossil record of the Permain shows a similar gradual extinction.

There is no hard evidence to confirm deep time (millions of years.)

Rate of decay vs. amount of decay of radioactive materials is one. The fact that we can see light from objects millions of light years away is another.

This is in no way intended to deny God- just man's understanding of Him.

"There is no hard evidence to confirm deep time (millions of years.)b"

How can one stand at the base of a 100 ft. cliff, observe the multitude of layers of rock, note the different and unique fossils found in all those layers and make a statement like you just did? I sure can't - and there's nothing "supposed" in my conservatism.

Lucky he was there to see it, or we’d never know.

They looked very hard for signs of a blast during this time and found nothing. You get shocked quartz from a really big blast and they found none. The evidence points to huge Siberian eruptions and a methane gas release.

I am comfortable as a Conservative who does not know just how long one of God’s days was.

One of his days could be 500,000,000 of our years.

Genesis 1(14-19):

14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the vault of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

I have always wondered what the definition of "night" and "day" are prior to the creation of the sun on "day" 4.

I spent 11 years doing soil investigations in Carolina Bays (in fact, on the SC side of the line in that very graphic that you show), and came to the conclusion that the phenomenon is hydrologic in nature, not cosmologic.

On the right side of that graphic, the lines from the extended long axes of the bays are projecting in the wrong direction. Looking the other way, one sees that they are all pointing “downhill”, in the direction of both surficial and subsurficial drainage: towards the coast.

This is not the place to go into the issue in detail, but I have plenty of evidence to show that Carolina Bays did NOT result from bolide impact.

I thought conservatism was political view, not religious belief.

Then you think wrong. Conservatism touches on politics, but it is a much more comprehensive world view than that.

Nice silly response.

But as far as the speed of light, even that is not a constant.

It has been demonstrated that light has been slowing down.

Rate of decay vs. amount of decay of radioactive materials is one. The fact that we can see light from objects millions of light years away is another.

The methods used to measure decay are blatantly faulty. They just are. Ask 20 scientists to assess the age of a rock, and you'll get 20 wildly different answers.

There is very little science involved in an evolutionary position of creation.
