The Patriots' offseason has managed to get even worse.
Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard was arrested this morning in Lincoln, Neb. for suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a police report obtained from the Lincoln, Neb. Police Department. According to that report, Dennard refused to take a breathalyzer test after he was pulled over around 2 a.m. for straddling the lane line on Normal Boulevard. When Dennard was pulled over, the police report indicated he "emitted an odor of alcohol and displayed signs of impairment. He conducted a field sobriety test and was transported to the police station for a breath test, where his refual led to the citation. Dennard was then released.
Dennard is due in court Aug. 12 at 1:30 p.m.
Dennard is serving two years of probation after being convicted in February of felony assault of a police officer outside of a Lincoln bar in 2012. He is also scheduled to begin his 30-day jail sentence March 1, 2014.
That arrest caused Dennard to plummet in the 2012 draft, where the Pats snagged the potential second-rounder in the final round of the weekend. Bill Belichick repeatedly said he was comfortable selecting Dennard despite the charges.

Not fit for the NBA ?
Does Joe Schmo get to serve his jail time next year at the convenience of his work schedule? Having no first hand knowledge I'm not sure how that works.
Tim Tebow, the two-way threat?
Nope, Joe Schmo is screwed here in NE; that is if he is not politically connected, a prominent lawyer, state legislator, or prominent sports star, especially a sports star. It can also depend on the county in which you are caught.
whew.... not a Cowboy this time
There’s always tomorrow........
yep
Almost equally embarrassing is 72 year-old Bob Kraft with his 32 year-old girl pal, Ricki Lander. His beloved Myra must be doing a triple rollover in her grave.
I am sure it is strictly love.
