Wishing all of our fellow Freepers are safe and healthy 4th of July. Here is to another year of celebrating our independence, dwindling as our freedoms may be, we are probably still the best thing out there.
Silly season is underway. First big change. Newman departs SHR. No mystery there. The surprise is he’ll end up at RCR driving the 29!

I thought Newman was pretty successful with SHR...
Even with these reminders it is doubtful it will happen... just saying...

I could see Tony being a bit of an “A” type personality. He is grumpy on his good days; owning his own team must be tough on him and those that work for him.
He can’t even post pictures of when he was drag racing, so what do you expect???
I don’t think Tony is the problem. Danica is. Rumor has it Ryan took a huge paycut to free up payroll for her and his team is number four In line at a three car team because SHR is trying to get Danica up front. Don’t forget, his entire pit crew went to Danica. He’s operating with what’s left over in more ways than oe.
I’ll say one thing for Patrick, she’s had an enormous amount of good racing luck this season....Lloyd Ruby she ain’t.

One of the few days of the year I will raise old glory. It hasn’t appeared much since Nov. 6, 2012 and may not appear very much in the coming few years. Only certain days. Have a safe 4th.
Yeah, me too. Good old whatshisname is really slow this week.
Drivers changed and am looking fwd to the race. Packing and moving family the 4th & the 5th so we won’t be relaxing until Saturday.
Happy Independence Day. Lets hope we can save freedom from the socialist hordes!

I’ve seen a lot of fantastic sights in my 64 1/2 years but I’ve also seen an erosion of personal freedoms and laws enacted (abortion for one) that make me want to throw up. Patriots are silenced and investigated and while some are outraged 95%+ of the population doesn’t give a hoot cause they’re too busy with facebook or texting or emulating their favorite idol. If the NSA / IRS travesties had happen 20 years ago we’d have true outrage and an impeachment. Now? Blah. It’s very easy to get discouraged; I will continue to tear-up at a fly-over, should I happen to see one. I will continue to salute the flag.
Finishing day two of moving family today. Relaxing tomorrow & gonna take a drive in the 335 on a great seasonal road west of here and stop in the middle of nowhere and have a picnic.
