My condolences. As I understand it, he’s a Catholic, so I hope his church is with him at this time.

A father always wants to protect a daughter from the bad stuff in the world, sometimes he can’t.

I know several people who survived all their children. Just about the saddest thing one can have happen, at least in the ordinary things of life.

My oldest brother died of a heart attack in his early 60s and it devastated Mother to the point that we almost lost her too.

That is very sad, may she, and her mom, rest in peace and may her children and family find comfort.

Prayers for this nice family.

BTW, any freeper females out there who lost a mother or sister to this disease, particularly if they were not elderly when they passed, need to get tested for the gene connected with ovarian cancer. It’s a tough disease to diagnose early enough to treat effectively, and almost impossible to cure when the patient has symptoms.

My sister died at the age of 49....

My mother was alive then..and is still alive now.

We aren't supposed to out live our kids....

I have two....and pray for their safety often...

What makes it worse is that he lost his first wife - his step-daughter’s mother - to cancer when she was 43 or so. That was about 22 years ago.

A lot of tragedy in that family. Charlotte’s father died when she was young and then her mother married Pierce Brosnan (who adopted her) and then her mother died. I am so glad that he adopted her so she had someone as a parent figure until her tragic death. He knows how hard it has been for her.

I know a woman who lost both of her daughters; one to a sudden heart attack and another to a brutal murder. I don’t know how that woman survived it.
AND, to top that off, her husband (not the girl’s father) was recently arrested for child porn!

I’m very sorry for his loss. Not my favorite James Bond, but he is a very good Bond, indeed.

The former governor of Maine, Kenneth Curtis lost both of his daughters to cystic fibrosis. I believe both he and his wife Polly are still living and in their late 70’s early 80’s.
The daughters died in their 30’s I believe.

Just terrible. No man should lose a child and no woman should suffer ovarian cancer.
