"ANOTHER TIME JUMP: Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd "Every season, yes, there will more than likely be a passage of time. Its unlikely to follow directly after the end of this episode." ... EPISODE 4 DETAILS: Episode 4 will be titled Indifference, with two survivors named Jack and Erin added to the cast.... EPISODE 6 DETAILS: According to SpoilerTV, Episode 6 is called Rise, and two new recurring characters will be showing up a single mother and former nurse named Laura and a tough and funny woman named Melody. Also, expect to meet Don, a 50-70-year-old guy described as kind but sometimes grumpy, who has a granddaughter. That's said to be a guest role, so that may hint to Don either kicking the bucket pretty quickly or just not having as prominent a role as the new ladies.... LESS RUN & GUN: Executive producer Greg Nicotero teased Season 4 to Entertainment Weekly: I think there may be a wee bit less of the run and gun. And [we'll] get a little more into some of our characters. The challenge with a show like this, when you have a big ensemble, is you dont want any of the characters to get lost; its important that we know what Carols story is and that we know what Beths story is.... THE GOVERNOR WILL BE BACK: He disappeared at the end of Season 3, but he's not dead. He's a series regular. Norman Reedus told the Wall Street Journal, "I dont think hes reached his full Governorism yet, you know? I mean, the comic book villain is like the most hated comic-book villain, above the Joker. The biggest one ever. So I think hes going to get meaner."..... MORE DANGEROUS ZOMBIES!.... CRAZIEST WALKER KILL YET? .... GRUMBLINGS IN THE ATLANTA GROUP? Gale continued, But, it is the people who you think you can trust who betray you, that you have to fear. ....RICK WON'T PUSH PEOPLE AWAY: Kirkman told THR, "This is the moment where Rick takes a turn; he's no longer going to be pushing people away....TYREESE & RICK WILL GET CLOSE...ANDREA'S DEATH WILL MAKE MORE SENSE: ....WHY NOT GO TO WOODBURY?: Gale Anne Hurd told IGN, "The Governor is still out there with Shupert and Martinez. Theyve still got significant firepower. If they go to Woodbury, at this point, Woodburys not as protected as it used to be. I think everyone was traumatized by what happened, and I think they feel safer in the prison."....

The Walking Dead has become an infomercial on what not to do during a Zombie apocalypse.

The Walking Dead has become an infomercial on what not to do during a Zombie apocalypse. How about at some point they invent the spear, like oh, every other civilization? Zombies have two weapons, their arms, and their teeth. If you invent a weapon with a longer reach than that, you are invincible.

“I think there may be a wee bit less of the run and gun. And [we’ll] get a little more into some of our characters.”
Sucks. We already know all most about the group as Rick’s character, weakness and all, have been laid out in the open. The reason why people watch it because of the zombie kills. More zombies the better.
This is like saying I watched the Sopranos because I’m interested in Tony’s relationship with his wife which is BS. People watched it because of the mafia angle.

Actually most people did watch Sopranos for the relationships. Kills get boring fast. To sustain a show you need character development. That’s what they’ve been doing for 3 seasons in WD and it doesn’t suck, it’s made it one of the most popular shows of the day.

I wonder if a crossbow, a samurai sword, or sawed off shotguns would work in this world?

That's called "projection".......That may be what first attracted you to the series but it's not what kept the rest of us watching..........LOL!

The crossbow works, but only one guy has one. I haven’t gotten to the sword yet.

O sheesh hurry up!!! LOL Can’t wait just what 4 more months to go until the Dead shows up again =)
To: Vince Ferrer
Agreed. They are relying too much on knives at short range and guns with ammo running out. Spears let you destroy the brain, while at a safe(r) distance.

Nah. Without the zombies, you might as well place it as a daytime drama. Take out even the title for “Dead” or “walking’ and it would be as any other drama.
David Chase said so in an interview: the mafia is a red herring and he didn’t care if people watched it for the mafia or for the family angle. And I know he pitched the mafia angle to HBO first before the family aspect of it.
I know as I spoke to him here in Hollywood years ago. He was the creative force but Grey Brillstein were the ass kickers to the production (they’re asshat libs but they get along with everybody and don’t impose their politics in business conversations).

IMO - swords and spears are best in this scenario. They have unlimited ammo!
