RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — As Father’s Day approaches, children are reminded to appreciate their dads and the impact on their lives.
Today dads around the city were honored a week in advance of Father’s Day. Celebrate Fatherhood 2013 was held this afternoon at the Collegiate School Aquatics Center. While these dads and their children enjoyed the moon bounce and competed in contests, an alarming amount of children in the area won’t have fathers around to celebrate the holiday.
First Things First, an organization dedicated to keeping dads involved in kids’ lives, reports that 60 percent of all families in the city of Richmond are single-parent households. Within the African-American demographic, that number spikes up to 86 percent, a number that surpasses the national average.

Cant judge....no culture is any better or worse than another....unless you’re a White Christian living in the burbs or a rural setting....but other than that all cultures are equal....nothing to see here...

Since blacks make up 50.4% of the Richmond population and whites only 39.8%, I wonder what the fatherless rate is for whites?

Depends on the source. The British newspapers are well-known for their long titles.
Government policies have been aimed at pushing fathers out of their childrens lives. Unfortunately, the feminists’ “dead-beat dad” meme still carries some sway. The reality is that through chillamony, the frivolous divorce industry, the VAWA, and the efforts of government-sponsored “social-workers” in urban communities, not only have fathers been driven out of the lives of their children, but the very idea of an in-home dad is completely foreign.
This is now infecting white suburban communities as well. Ultimately, pushing dads out of children’s lives leads to feral children and a large body of single men who become increasingly disconnected from society at large. Both of these are hallmarks of the end of a civilization and the decent into anarchy.
