To the headline: Then why the hell don’t they hang his ass.
My thoughts exactly.
Unless they are back there hand weaving the rope.
Because they still have anoher 143 rounds of YEA OR NAY votes to conduct.
(correction) ...another...
Get the jury to watch “Children of Men” and then the jury will hang Gosnell themselves.
The more this drags on, the more I expect a hung jury...which the libs will then pronounce as exoneration.
I have not thought about this before, but I do feel sorry for the jurors.
How horrible to hear the testimony, see the pictures, day after day. Soul killing.
It’s taken a toll on me and I pretty much turn away from it every time I hear it. It’s beyond disgusting and horrific, IMHO.
The jury holdouts have to wake up and just start voting yes at some point on the ones where they’re iffy.
Pile of definite guilty, pile of definite not guilty, keep working on what’s left.
I mean, if you know the guy killed a lot of babies, and it’s disgusting to think about, at a certain point, convict on those remaining charges and go home. If there are plenty of convictions and the last few charges no one can agree on, then acquit on those and go home.
No sense wallowing in that ugliness any longer than you have to. Just make sure that there’s no reasonable doubt that he killed at least one baby. Then at that point, you know he’s guilty of murder. IMHO.
People can get frazzled and go in emotional logic circles sometimes.
Gosnell did not commit war crimes, but his deeds are no less horrific. This man needs to be found guilty and sentenced to death (if there is a death penalty in Pennsylvania).
I would suspect that after this is all over there will be some jurors who will find themselves suffering from nightmares and other trauma related incidents. There is just no way someone who has any thread of conscience, even if they are a die hard pro-choice, can look at those pictures and listen to the testimony and not be affected.
Only one way to get through it, prayer.
“I do feel sorry for the jurors”
I do as well. This has been a very long trial, filled with horrors for anyone with a heart.
Now they have to sift thru more than 200 charges.
Tough job.
If Gosnell gets off from the more serious charges, I blame the persecution complex of the prosecution. They have intentionally stacked every niggling charge that they could find, hoping to get some type of ‘guilty’ verdict from the over-loaded jury, instead of presenting a solid, evidentially-factual presentation of the egregious criminal acts.
I feel bad for the jurors as well, but it might be a blessing if they have to do another trial, more of a chance for the media to be pressured into covering abortion and the evils of it.
The babies are in heaven now, and let their deaths have the most impact that they can to hopefully save other babies from suffering the same fate.
>> Then why the hell dont they hang his ass.
Or a bolt cutter on his C5... in spirit of his travails.
My fear as well
Is this an OJ jury?
That’s my question.
This is an open and shut case IMO.
Guilty.
“... I do feel sorry for the jurors... how horrible to hear the testimony..”
I agree. I have forced myself to read the articles but there were times that I walked away for a few minutes, came back, read a bit more.. The jurors couldn’t do that. They have to hear it and look at it without escape. I am sure that this case will stay with them the rest of their lives. How couldn’t it? In the future, if they see a newborn baby... what will they immediately think or what picture will pop up in their mind? That being said... I would have volunteered to be on the jury for no other reason than to get justice for those nameless, precious gifts of God that were tortured and killed.
Usually, when the jury deliberates this long, there is a good chance for a hung jury verdit. This moster needs to be found guilty and hopefully, receive multiple death sentences.
If he was found not guilty of all counts, could he get his MD licese back from PA?
