What is the "Bubba Effect" and is the current administration plotting to use it? ~ Vanity

Posted on 04/24/2013 8:26:38 AM PDT by GraceG

I have heard a few people this week mention the "Bubba Effect" and also say that it could be a reason that the White House is doing certain things because they want to provoke it.

Any freepers out there with some better information on this so called "bubba effect" ?

“The Bubba Effect is a trend of behavior that was postulated on one of Glenn Beck’s shows by United States Army (Ret) Command Sgt Major Tim Strong about groups of people heading for the hills when they feel threatened or times are uncertain.[1][2][3] It is some bizarre theory that the US Government is going to institute martial law and enslave the citizens of the United States because the economy will collapse in the near future. Apparently it only includes those in rural “Real America” being able to resist in their armed survival compounds with rifles and Bibles in hand. The name itself is an attempt to reclaim the stereotypical “redneck” name[4], implying that this manner of readiness is a virtue scorned by the effete.

In practice, the Bubba Effect amounts to vague threats springing from a collection of survivalist ideas and conspiracy theories. This is about as close as Beck has come to condoning outright violence against government entities, and citizenry that just “don’t get it”,[5] by casting it in a positive light. It is so broad that it often gathers up a number of Ron Paul supporters as well.[6]

Alex Jones’ followers head to the hills on a weekly/bi-weekly basis, whenever they get a FEMA camp deportation emergency. They also have nice picnics, so it’s worth joining them. “

I thought it was the feeling of dizziness and nausea that overcomes one when he or she thinks intently about Bill Clinton for too long.

Government suppresses freedom and the people who oppose it band together. A rising up of the population against a rouge government. The military taking the side of the American people.
This administration has caused gun sales to skyrocket. The population senses something is not right.

The military taking the side of the American people.

I wouldn't even bet your money on that happening.

Yeah. I know. He's only keeping those who say they're willing to fire on the American people.
The lower level guys (the ground troops), though, have neighbors, friends, and family here. If (when) the SHTF, their natural instinct will be to protect their fellow citizens and those they love (oath keepers).

Hank Williams Jr. wrote a song titled “A Country Boy Can Survive.” This is what they (on the left) are talking about — But in my opinion, it is just honest country living.

HAH! And, I thought the “Bubba effect” was Clinton’s womanizing, rape, disgusting lies, etc. and the public loving him all the more for it!

I agree that we have a Red government. It's also a rogue government.

Without arguing the rightness or wrongness of it, think about Kent State, 1970. Ohio National Guard opened fire on unarmed US civilians. In the WV mine wars, USAAC droped bombs against armed US civilians. George Washington led an army of state militias against US civilians during the Whiskey Reellion. The past is prelude.

Oh, and I left out MacArthur, Eisenhower, Patton and the US Army vs the US civilian veterans of the Bonus Army.

You don’t give the totalitarians enough credit. Look what they did in New Orleans — the old lady was beaten up, arm broken and shoulder dislocated by CHiPS. (Videos on youtube of the event and the later interview re: her injuries.)

Convince the “brownshirts” that you and I are “other” and no problem. For example, TPTB will send inner-city thugs to pasty-white Vermont after telling the thugs...(well, you can imagine that part yourself).
