Jonah Mowry: 'Whats goin on..'( School Bullying)

This is a pitiful video. This child is in genuine pain due to the bullying he has suffered since first grade. He dreads starting eighth grade.

So?...: Some comments and questions:

--- When children are confined and herded together in same age groups with insufficient adult supervision, we should expect bullying. Bullying not an exception given the social situation the children must endure.. ( In many ways, the social pathology seen in institutional schools resembles prison pathology.)

---It is more important for modestly talented white collar workers in the government schools to keep their jobs and feed the educational-industrial complex than it is to really find **HUMANE** schooling models and effective teaching methods.

---There are schools and situations where it would be better for the child to receive **no** education whatsoever than to suffer the abuse they experience in school. Illiteracy and innumeracy can be fixed. Dead can't be. This child is in one of those situations.

---Why are children **forced** by the government to endure abuse that would win an adult court ordered restraining orders, felony charges, and millions in court for workplace harassment?

---Surely the parents know what is going on. This child needs to be rescued. Why have they abandoned him?

---Why should this child trust his parents or those adults in his life who should be rescuing him but have failed to do so?

---Why aren't teachers held to the **same** standards and penalties as employers in the workplace? Why are teachers and principals special and immune from personal court suits and government penalties and fines? Where are the class action attorneys when children need them?

---This child is in tremendous pain. The other children in the class have witnessed this bullying. Are they living in hellish fear that they may be the next victim? Is it good for children to be forced to witness such abuse? I certain don't think so.

---One of the cruelest things to say to a child suffering from bullying it to say, "It is normal or it is good for you." If it isn't good for an adult in the workplace or woman in a marriage, why would we think it is good for a **child**?

How we currently school the vast majority of our nation's children threatens our nation's continuing freedom. If we treat children like prisoners in godless, socialist-entitlement, and prison-like schools we should NOT NOT NOT be surprised if we have a nation of future voters who are comfortable being godless and socialist state prisoners.

I call it keeping the neighborhood clean. BTW, there is no crime in our neighborhood. The men on my block (it may be strange, but everyone is married, and most close to or over twenty years) will not allow it.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The education-industrial complex ( K-12 though the Ph.D. level) is doing all that it can to emasculate men.

Our nation in a few short years will soon reap the harvest. We will have a nation of hairy boy-men who are utterly incapable of defending themselves and their nation. They won't have families to defend because they won't have figured out how to get out of their mom's basement.

Honestly....Why do conservatives fail to see the urgency? Our nation's children ( boys and girls) are being damaged by our nation's socialist, GODLESS, and prison-like schools and conservatives fail to shut the abomination down!

Personally, I see our nation's godless government owned and run socialist-entitlement schools to be sooooooo evil for children and such a threat to freedom that I WILL NOT HAVE A GOVERNMENT TEACHER FOR A FRIEND!

Most of the posters here are remembering their own prison-like experiences in school with a bullies. But...Today, there is a difference.

Well you don’t have to stand out but you do have to stand up, If not you create your own prison.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Learning not to stand out is a lesson well taught in our nation's prison-like government schools and is a form of self-imprisonment that many of our fellow citizens carry throughout their lives.

If you read the history of the beginnings of state controlled compulsory education in the U.S. “Not Standing Out” and creating a conformist population was the very **goal** of those who pushed so hard for compulsory and state controlled government schooling.

“This kid needs to fight back ... kick the living crap out of the kids that bully him.”

Right. The bully and his gang. Not all bullying is one-on-one, and “kicking the crap” out of the bully, much like the 100lb woman in a movie “kicking the crap” out of a 250lb man, great fantasy but hardly a given reality.

“It really doesn’t matter if he loses a fights against bullies.”

It certainly does. Pounding a weak blob is not as entertaining pounding a weaker person fighting back.

“At least he is able to say that he stood up to them.”

That is true.

“And the real outcome is once you stand up to a bully, it is no longer worth the effort for the bully to pick on you if he knows he will be in a fight and will be hurt.”

The “real outcome” is it is likely the bully (and/or his gang) beat the stuffing out of the kid and get great pleasure in doing so. Look at bully/gang behavior today—fighting and beating among other thugs are normal behavior. . .and that means getting hurt and this apparently doesn’t stop them, so why would they stop when beating/bullying a kid that might fight back but lose every time.

Nice you were such a strong fighter that your wild attack on your bully ended so neatly. Made-for-TV movie moment, for sure.

And I guess you would have liberal teachers solve the kids problems, like that has been working. You suggest that he his dealing with a gang. I didn’t get that from the video. But if he is, there are other solutions to that problem.

Great leap on your part.

“You suggest that he his dealing with a gang.”

Suggested it is a possibility. You know from life most bullies have followers, i.e., a “gang,” meaning those that would rather cowardly hang with the bully than be bullied themselves. Are you suggesting it isn’t possible the bully has a “gang?”

Point is, your one-size-fits-all solution doesn’t work in all cases, and in some cases, can make it worse. Who knows how much and what types of abuse this kid endured. Thing is, he is at the end of his rope and apparently has nowhere to turn.

Solution? Who knows, each situation is different so your simple “just kick the poo out of them” as the definitive course of action is hardly helpful.

I suggest that reforming government schools is impossible and that these socialist-entitlement, godless, and prison-like facilities be SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY!

Wa’na see a liberal curled up in a sniveling fetal position? Take away his socialist-entitlement sinecure of a job.

Yep! School cliques in many ways resemble prison protection gangs.

In many ways, the social pathology seen in schools resembles the prison social pathology. And....I strongly suspect that teachers and principals use bullying to control cowering students in the same way that prison guards allow and use prison gang bullies.

As for the latest government push on stopping bullying, don't believe it for a minute! It is merely an Orwellian version of bullying. This time it is cruelly dressed in manipulative “doublespeak”. The Orwellian anti-bullying is merely permission for politically correct gangs to terrorize. These government protected gangs carry the official Marxist government imprimatur for official thought-crime bullying. Homosexuals love this. The kids’ minds are scrambled by the government and then served up to the homosexual predators that populate the schools. Hm! Yum! /s

Yet!

Conservatives will flood the e-mail and phone lines of the Boy Scouts, show up by the millions to buy a chicken sandwich, but SEND THEIR **KIDS*** INTO THE VERY SCHOOLS CONTROLLED BY MARXIST HOMOSEXUALS!!!!

Yet!

Conservatives continue to send their children to these prison-like and godless socialist-entitlement schools. In many counties, and even entire states, if conservatives removed their children. the government's socialist-entitlement and godless schools would **immediately** collapse.

Yet!

Conservatives fail to see the **urgent** danger that our nation's socialist-entitlement and godless schools pose to our nation's very FREEDOM! Children who attend prison-like, Marxist-dominated, and godless schools risk growing up to be voters that are comfortable with godlessness, Marxism, and comfortable prisoners of the state!!!!

Yet!

Conservatives continue to live in the La La land of “Reform”. When in the history of mankind was it ever possible to “reform” a socialist-entitlement, godless, prison-like, compulsory, single-payer, union-controlled, and price-fixe government MONOPOLY???? HuH? And.. Government schooling is all of this!

Yes, I am shouting. I am exasperated!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

When I was about nine years old, there was a girl in my class who came from a rough family - she was pretty much the only kid who came to school each day hungry and scruffy, with just a bag of chips for lunch. I was a teeny-tiny kid so she decided to pick on me. One day, I had had enough and I told her we were both too old to act like two-year-olds. She took exception to that and waited for me when I walked home from school.

Did I happen to mention that I was taking ballet lessons four times a week and rehearsing on the weekends? My legs were STRONG. I got in a couple good kicks and she decided that it was not in her best interest to fight me. Of course, we were wearing our school uniforms during the rumble and we got observed by a friendly neighbor, and so were called down to the principal’s office. But by that time - two days later - we had become friends.

Here’s the funny thing - when she started hanging around with me and my friends she stopped bullying the other kids entirely. She had a crew to run with; I guess that’s what she wanted all along.

So was the lesson that I learned that you get in there and get your licks in? Or that you make a friend of the bully? Or that you do both if you can? I don’t know - that’s just my little bullying story. YMMV.

It certainly worked for me. And I must say, you seem to have a certain animus against those who choose to stand up.

Nice you were such a strong fighter that your wild attack on your bully ended so neatly. Made-for-TV movie moment, for sure.

Why all these snide remarks and anger for those who defend themselves and not the instigators who are assaulting them?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Indeed! It is impossible to have a spiritual vacuum. Religious neutrality in any sentient human is impossible. All must choose between either a godless or God-centered worldview. One is filled with light and understanding. The other with cruelity and perversion.

God will NOT save this nation, fear. Why? Two Reasons:

—Abortion
Christians by the millions can show up to buy a chicken sandwich but can't figure out how to legally and peacefully put an end to abortion. Really?

—Godless and socialist-entitlement K-12 schooling
The Boy Scouts are flooded with phone and e-mail messages objecting to homosexuals in the Scouts, but those **SAME** parents then willing send their children into GODLESS schools in which there are **daily** reports of homosexual and heterosexual predation on children. And....Where the Barna Foundation reports that fewer than 15% of children from **active** Christian homes will retain their faith 2 years after graduating from high school.

I doubt God is happy that we murder children in the womb.

I doubt God is happy that, if these children survive the womb, they are then sent into GODLESS K-12 indoctrination centers where they are taught perversion, have a seriously **very** high risk having their souls murdered, and are preyed upon by wicked teachers and fellow students.

May God quickly bring this nation to repentance.
