To each his own. I am healthy, closer to 80 than 70. I do not have a doctor. I am on no prescription meds. I will remain healthy. Colloidal silver helps...as do other natural things.
I am also a researcher. I know what I say is correct.
“The ‘dirtier’ you are, the less susceptible you usually are.”
We work to maintain our immune systems. We do not use vaccines, and we do not use antibiotics. Period.
We do not go out of our way to wash hands. I am not afraid to pick up something that falls on the floor and then put it in my mouth. All a part of maintaining a healthy immune system.
We eat raw, or lightly cooked eggs. I like rare, or raw beef. We eat raw veggies. We drink raw (not pastuerized) milk. We drink raw (not pastuerized) cider.
We are healthy. I am a septuagenarian. I expect to move through octogenarian and nonagenarian and become a centenarian and beyond. By staying naturally healthy.
I hate the stomach flu. Not too many things in life more miserable than when its coming out both ends at the same time.
!
I was not sick this past Christmas. Thank God because I WAS sick the two before! Two years in a row I came down with the nasty stomach bug on Christmas day. Both times I had to go to the ER to stop the vomiting. I would throw up and think it’s all good but then I’d throw up again and again. For 6 hours I tried to get some sleep but was so queasy so I went to hospital and got that shot to help it stop. I’d had that shot before and it worked wonderfully but those last couple of times I was still vomiting on the way out of the hospital after being told to go home and suck on ice cubes there’s nothing more to be done. Problem is when I get stomach flu my body will not stop retching...even when there’s nothing left in it. The whole family did get it as well but most of them didn’t have such a bad time of it. My daughter and I felt like we were dying when it first hit us. We got hot, tingly and literally fell on the floor unable to move. I HATE this bug and I’m sooo paranoid about getting it again!
A few Christmases ago, the kids & I came down with a similar stomach bug (my son got out of the hospital Christmas Eve, only to have my youngest & me catch it).
The worst part wasn’t the houseful of vomiting kids - it was hubby insisting on cooking/burning the standing rib roast no one wanted to eat, except him, and the discovery our youngest kiddie was using my full-length mink coat as a sleeping bag.....
“...I do not have a doctor...”
I have one, but rarely go and lean towards your philosophy. What is colloidal silver and do you have any other recommendations?
“Well, Dr Bob, you may have no idea how disease spreads, but those of us who have had some medical and public health training do. Apparently cars are your area of expertise, not biomedical research, so it might be wise to reserve your pronouncements about vectors of disease transmission. Be filthy if you like, but car grease is not the same as bacteria and viruses.”
I will SAY AGAIN, you guys are CLUELESS as to whether living a paranoid life and scrubbing the crap out of ones hands every 5 minutes provides any benefit at all. Me and others on this thread (and millions of others), through our lifestyles, have PROVEN that. You can keep that attitude where the sun don’t shine.
As to the spread of diseases in general, yes, I agree that some things are known and proven. If you wash food in sewer water, then yes, you have a problem and lots of people can get sick (I happen to be a plumbing expert too, so I understand the need for backflow prevention, in order to prevent cross-contamination of the water supply). Outbreaks of Cholera are real, when the conditions are provided and those conditions are known.
But still, no one has ANY CLUE as to how the common cold is spread and you people are just too damn ashamed to admit it.
Ugh, your post is giving me symptoms. .;)
Do you use a preferred brand? I’ve been taking Black Elderberry, but I only trust one brand. Also can you get it at a Hi Health chain or is it in the small health food chains..I need to get this asap!
Thank you, we are too! It hit me in a matter of a half hour or less as well, but lasted for days. I hear this variant of the virus is called the Sydney, as in Australia.
That's one reason I try to avoid public restrooms. It's shocking how many people think that lathering their hands for two seconds, or even rinsing them under water with no soap at all, is just fine.
Hope, keep in mind that this stomach bug is a virus, not bacteria, so anything antibacterial won't affect it.
As for antibacterial soaps and lotions, I've often read (and my sister-in-law the nurse confirms) that they decrease resistance to germs in the long run. Washing with plain soap is best. Just saying.
Yeah, I caught that part, but can see why it could have appeared I didn't, due to what I responded with.
I suppose I could recycle the toilet paper Ive already used to wrap around the door handle when exiting. Would it be bad? Or would it be wrong?
Bad & wrong, worse even than garlic flavored ice cream. There is such a thing (or at least used to be). It could be found at the Gilroy (CA) Garlic Festival, breath mints not included...
Ever heard the one about the "Sanitary Restaurant"?
A guy sees a sign bearing that name, becomes curious so decides to try the place out.
After he finished his meal, he gets to talking with one of waiters. Noticing that they all used tongs to handle water glasses, plates of food, etc., he asks if it's the use of tongs which is the reason for the name of the restaurant. The waiter replies "yes, we never touch anything with our hands. We use tongs for everything".
Noticing a string hanging out of the front of the waiter's pants, the guy asks "what's that for?". The waiter answers that when he goes to the restroom to relieve himself (urinate), the string is used to free his member from his skivvies, as it's tied around said member.
Asking how the waiter tucks himself back into his drawers, the waiter replies "I use the tongs".
Oh I know. Its just a thing with me. Kinda ocd thing. I have been very blessed that I haven’t had the flu in years. I am a herbal nut too.
LOL! Oh,my goodness.
I am the same way. My problem dates back to when I was about 8 years old, kneeling in church. The girl kneeling in the pew behind me threw up into my seat. Some splattered on my Catechism booklet. Unfortunately, I remember every last detail.
Oh, I understand, LOL....I’m a germphobe myself.
Your story reminds me of an unpleasant memory. I was riding the school bus when someone toward the front got sick. He couldn’t slide the window down in time. We all had to endure the sickly odor for an hour. I was nauseated by the smell but never caught the bug.
I get my colloidal silver from an Amish friend who makes it.
