I received a donation request from the RNC today.
I responded...
Your request for an annual donation is hereby DENIED. I will not contribute ONE DIME to the RNC.
You field lousy candidates, starting at the top, and filtering all the way down to the state level.
You seem to stand for nothing.
Even though the Republicans hold a majority in the House, they continue to act like the minority party.
Speaker Boehner is ineffective, timid, and is a good candidate for spine transplant.
Minority Leader McConnell is a complete joke.
The Republican Party used to stand for individual rights, liberty, and freedom FROM government.
Unfortunately, the party has become a subsidiary of the DNC.
Until and unless the Republican Party once again becomes the Party of Reagan (you people never liked Ronald Reagan, but you were only too happy to ride his coattails. You couldn’t shine his shoes.), I see it going the way of the Whigs.
You’re circling the drain, Ladies and Gentlemen, but you’re going without my hard-earned, and severely overtaxed, money.

Well, seeing how fine they spent the money in the last election.
If we had a Tea Party National Committee [and we knew it was real], they’d pull in the cash.

Excellent response! I’m waiting for them to call and hit me up for a donation again. I’m hopeing that they actually call me! I used to just say “sorry not interested”, then the past couple times, I told the guy when the RNC grew a pair and started giving us conservative candidates, I’d consider donating again.... Your stuff is better !

I donate to the Tea Party and yes. Don’t they have something of a national committee? Didn’t they have a convention, well in 2010 anyway. They weren’t too vocal in 2012. I almost think that they thought it was a shoo in that Zero would lose...

I forgot to add that I cut up my membership card (what the heck does the RNC expect me to do with that???) and put it in the envelope.
Of course, no one will read the letter. Once the intern / clerical person finds no money in the envelope, it’ll get tossed in the trash.
...but it felt good to write it.

Barring Providence stepping in, I would wager that the next ‘It’s his turn’ nominee is Jeb Bush. If he is unable or unwilling, look for them to push Chris Christie.
Regardless, the GOP/RNC continue to have the same problem. They don’t have a cohesive message and they don’t know how to convey their message to bring in voters.
I no longer take their calls. I suspect they’re going to get the message sooner or later.

You’d save yourself lots of trouble if you just re-registered as an Independent!
I’m not quite as polite as you in my responses to them. I made one girl cry in a phone solicitation, and almost had a meet-up for a fight with a punk RNC phone solicitor.
They used to get their stuff back form me with big black Sharpie messages all over it.
I have not gotten one solicitation in probably six years.
I got a request back in '08. I took a black sharpie and wrote on the form, "I will contribute when you stop giving us RINO candidates." I then put it in their self-addressed, postage paid envelope. Haven't heard from them since.
It took the RNC mailing-list brain trust more than 5 years to get the idea that, just because I’m forced to vote for some Republican candidates, I’m not, and never was, a member of their too-dismally-slow-to-learn-and-adapt Party.
Just as I would have responded ....well said, honest and direct. Something the GOP has forgotten..... how to legislate in a conservative and constitutional manner.
We ask no more of then than stop the liberal socialist locomotive.
They can’t even slow it down with a majority. The GOP is infested. Using our dollars wisely is the only cure.

I have a stash of play money and I usually send them some with the note, “fake money for fake Republicans.” (Got this idea from another FReeper, hope you don’t mine.) Had to send this to Romney’s campaign numerous times.
I was also called today by the RNC, they got nothing from but an earfull of why. You left out the rules changes that allow the primaries to be moved around to stack the deck against Conservatives.

I don’t think there’s a party that proposes burning Washington DC to the ground and incarcerating those who escape from the flames...but the rot in that town sure won’t be fixed by a coat of paint.
I take all calls and the other day I got one from a lady at the RNC. We immediately got into a shouting match and once it was plain that I despised her organization, she said, "This telephone call is finished." "Good," I said, don't call again."
I respnded by calling them and asking that my name be taken off their mailing list.
Then I cut up the card they sent me and mailed it back - without my stamp to save postage.
That’s a good letter, but I think it could have been improved by highlighting the monumental failures of John Cornyn as well. These spineless collaborators have got to go.

I've gotten a few calls lately. I never give anything to anybody over the phone and told them to send info.
I look forward to the opportunity to respond to them like I really feel - which is the way you feel, too!
I told them I now cherry-pick my candidates all across the country based on Conservative values and principles and donate directly to them.
The national party is dead to me.

You spent more time on the line with them than I did. They tried some spiel about they (republicans) kept the house 60% conservative.
I told the RNC that republican and conservative were not synonymous, that the RNC and their GOPe republicans were democrats with (r) next to their names and that I was a conservative so they would not be getting a single cent out of me.
Then I hung up.
It is easy to see from these posts why we will have Obama for four more years.In order to elect people you have to support them.
In order to defeat the opposition you have to contend with them. As long as the RNC keeps choosing people to “me too” the dems out of office, we will never defeat them. Mr. Non Contending Mitt and his ‘Obama is a nice guy who is in a little over his head,’ sure did a lot get people to dump Obama. /s
After reading your magnificent reply I feel like a failure. When I received this recent request I merely tossed it. I always used to write a scathing reply right on their request form with a felt pen and mail it back in their prepaid envelope. But since November I don’t feel like they’re worth even that little effort.
Coming from someone whose moniker sounds like an STD, your judgement doesn’t mean much.
