FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS (KMOX) - An East St. Louis couple is charged with beating an elderly employee at a Metro East Best Buy.
It’s considered normal procedure by most to be asked for your receipt while leaving a busy store like Best Buy with expensive items. But Latoya Greenwood, 38, didn’t take kindly to the request.
Police say she began shouting obscenities at the 61-year-old Fairview Heights Best Buy employee at the exit door. Her husband got into the act and smacked the man across the face, sending him down to the ground while his wife didn’t flinch and kept the curse words flying.

I’ve often felt like doing much worse things to Best Buy employees, but have always managed to refrain. I hope they throw the book at them.
Honestly, I don’t understand why people even go to a Best Buy anymore. I guess if someone MUST see(or touch) an item they can order off Amazon or some place online for MUCH less(without having to be bothered by the annoying/clueless employees).
Dollars to donuts the employee was white. Of course the authorities will categorize the attack as an “economic” crime, not a “hate crime”. Blacks are “incapable” of hate crimes.
Did they have any stuff they didn’t have receipts for?
That is why we all now have to show them when leaving the store.
People pay for stuff at the service desk and then “go shopping” some more.
Hope they get jail time.

That's what I was thinking. I'm almost 64 and I would have put the dillweed on the ground.
Blacks are the New Royalty, and no one may now question them, no matter what sort of crap they attempt to pull off; nevertheless, this is a case of assault and battery, and prison time needs to be assigned.
Whether that will happen is anybody’s guess.

I live in a very diverse area of Atlanta, and I can’t imagine working in retail here (like at Best Buy). Granted there are a lot of good people here - but a lot of bad ones too.
Being the manager of a retail place must be one of the most stressful jobs on the planet. First you have to deal with all the “attitudes” and in doing so walk on eggshells to avoid an EEO filing. Then you have to constsantly be checking security so the merchandise doesn’t walk out the back door and be up for sale at half price in the barber shop the next day.
If you don’t want to show a receipt, stay the Hell out of the store.
61 is elderly? sheesh. Hey, I’m 63, and I don’t feel elderly. I’m going upstairs to file a protest.... as soon as I can find my teeth....where’s that walker. And I forgot where I put my bottle of Geritol....what was I saying?
I’m white, and virtually every time I’ve purchased something at BestBuy I held the receipt out so the checker at the door (again always white) could see it. Common practice at the store around here. Many white teens around here are thieves. Although I’m far past being mistaken for a teen.
This is the main reason I do stay out of BestBuy. They see me at the check-out 2 steps away. I get my receipt and they get in front of me blocking the door and demand my receipt while giving me the stink eye. If that’s the way they do business, I don’t need to do business there. I haven’t bought anything from them in years but I have showroom shopped there to buy elsewhere.

Now, with people being Children up to 26 yrs old and Elderly now being tagged as over 60....
apparently we only have 34 years of not being a child or elderly....
And yet, if you start working at 18 and live to be 80 you have 62 years of taxation...28 of those years as a child or elderly....I call abuse :>)
