Despite Gov. Rick Scotts seven-hour waiting lines in Floridas minority voting precincts, President Obama won the states 29 electoral votes, giving him a 332-206 victory and, more important, a clear mandate to lead America forward.
Just two weeks ago, Republicans were told by Fox News resident genius Dick Morris the election was in the bag. So, what happened?
David Frum may have the answer.
The problem with Republican leaders is that theyre cowards, not that theyre fundamentally mistaken, said the conservative pundit and former George W. Bush speechwriter. Republicans have been fleeced and exploited and lied to by a conservative entertainment complex.
That complex includes Fox News Sean Hannity and Bill OReilly, along with Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, and scores of other far-right flamethrowers.
Mitt Romney ... was twisted into pretzels, Frum explains. The people who put cement shoes on his feet are now blaming him for sinking.
Right-wing opinion entertainers are successful because they tap the anger, mistrust, and resentment conservatives feel about the role of government by comingling entertainment and politics.
This combination has attracted large audiences by demonizing and disparaging those with whom conservatives disagree, people like Democrats, environmentalists, feminists, and civil rights activists.

It makes you wonder why extremists on the other side aren’t a problem. Hmm. We’ll never know. Best just to bow down and beg forgiveness from libs and hope they invite us to the next party.
Of course, he got the idea from his ex-boss W who needed to “destroy capitalism to save it.”
I don’t care how much spam I get...G W Bush will, in time, go down as an awful president.
Can Frum not read? The left does it to us with VENOM!!!
In his world the GOP should bend over and take it without KY from those groups and politely ask for more. Just like every Saturday night at his house.
“Frum Here To Irrelevancy”
ah, No, the election was not in the bag...otherwise Romney would have won.

Yea, what he said.
The sooner the better.
They still think Frum is some sort of conservative and doesn't work for us. LOL!
The problem is that the Democrats are using social scientists and the Republicans are using political scientists. The Democrats play on deep-seated emotions like fear and envy. Why don’t the Republicans? True, the best way to solve this would be to build courage and modesty in Democrat voters, but we might be completely lost before that happens. Look at Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Of course, the Democrats have their lower needs met, but the Democrat leaders have them afraid they will lose their security and those needs won’t be met. Call it The blueunicorn6 Corollary to Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Even if peoples needs have been met at a level, the fear of losing that satisfaction will cause people to function at that level. We can take advantage of that, too.
“Understand yourself and understand your opponent, and in one hundred battles, you will not be defeated.”
Sounds like the GOP is taking the if you can’t beat em, join em path,
The problem with that is their voters will to. Why vote for the loser GOP when the dems are always winning?
As to the GOP going along to get along - life imitates art.
"The Chancellor has played to the Senators well. They know where the power now lies and they will do whatever it takes to share in it" - Mon Mothma, Star Wars, Episode III.
You have three distinct political groups in the US now: The democrats (left), the republicans (center), and the conservatives (right), all vying for control. The only real divide between the democrats and republicans is what brand of socialism they want to implement (government vs. corporate), while the Conservatives just want both of them to follow the Constitution and leave us the hell alone. Takers, bankers, and producers, always fighting for control, since the beginning of time. Right now, the takers have the upper hand, with the bankers sniffing profits to be made from the takers’ exploits. In the mean time, the producers are going to give the other two sides the middle finger, and produce for ourselves, to the exclusion of all of the others.

Unfortunately, McCain got hammered in those same precincts too. Precincts were redrawn due to Census 2010, but:
McCain - lost 19 precincts with 0 votes, 4084-0.
lost 28 more precincts with 1 vote, 11661-28.
lost 39 more precincts with 2 votes, 20498-78.
lost 37 more precincts with 3 votes, 16010-111.
lost 25 more precincts with 4 votes, 10641-100.
1436 total precincts
Romney - lost 21 precincts with 0 votes, 5978-0.
lost 25 more precincts with 1 vote, 10139-25.
lost 36 more precincts with 2 votes, 21998-72.
lost 23 more precincts with 3 votes, 10701-69.
lost 28 more precincts with 4 votes, 13252-112.
1077 total precincts
Obama’s entire margin of victory comes from fewer than 250 precincts in Cuyahoga County in which Romney got no more than 26 votes. If you looked at Franklin and Hamilton Counties, it might be less than that.
Thanks to both of you.
Now I have some ammo to prove this entire election was a fraud.
God,it boggles the mind.
.
It’s been covered by Fox (especially Hannity). He’s had Democrats on his talk show that have admitted things may have gone too far this time.
Still, nobody in the Justice Dept. seems interested.
