Sounds like the GOP is taking the “if you can't beat ‘em, join ‘em” path, although I think that was their intention all along, until the Conservatives showed up. Now, US politics is one-party rule, with a few ankle biters kept around for blame purposes only. Obama and Co. learned their marxist lessons well. Conservatives didn't learn their lessons from history, and will be permanently marginalized as a result.

The problem with that is their voters will to. Why vote for the loser GOP when the dems are always winning?
