I was sitting here watching Fox News Sunday and Bill Kristol made the comment as too why don't the Republicans just agree with President Obama and raise the tax on millionaires. He mentioned an income of one million or more. His reasoning was that why go to bat for the millionaires when probably 50% of them will go ahead and vote to the Democrats no matter what and so many live in California/Hollywood. For some strange reason I found myself agreeing with him about raising taxes, because he is right; they will vote for the Democrats until it hurts them. And maybe we should let it hurt them. Opinions??
Bill Krystal......my bad!!
We need an asset tax for these people.
I wonder what Warren Buffet would think about that?
Raise taxes on just DEMOCRATS. That’d make them happy about getting a tax increase, and Republicans would also be happy.
No matter how poor someone is, if they have any income at all they should have to pay some nominal tax such as $100/yr.
If everyone paid every tax then every tax would get more scrutiny. Then we can start talking about increasing the progressive nature of the income tax.
You you were right the first time
Arch neocon
What culture war type
Same idiots gave us Romney and Bush
They have no credibility left
Neocon
They are never going to really raise the txes on millionaires, because 2/3rds. of the Congress are millionaires and they aren’t going to raise the taxes on themselves.
There will always be loopholes for the Super rich, they may nail a middle class barely millionaire or two, but Soros, Pelosi, Harry Reid ,Obama will always leave thenselves a way out.
I agree, but for different reasons. I think they won the election, so they should get their policies, and then see what it results in.
