Congratulations to Jim Robinson for His Political Sagacity Overwhelmingly Accurate

Posted on 11/10/2012 3:00:14 PM PST by lbryce

The maelstrom of political controversy regarding Free Republic founder Jim Robinson and his attitude towards the then Republican presidential candidate front runner and odds-on favorite to win the nomination, as anointed by the msm as the weakest candidate in the Repuplican field, was one punctuated by severe criticism of Mr. Robinson for his uncompromising, vituperative take-no-prisoners stance towards the liberal bent, RINO candidate Mr. Romney,as unacceptable under any circumstances as Republican Party nominee in the 2012 presidential election.

While his intensely vociferous stance against Mr. Romney surprised, confused, alienated many, the political rationale for the utter blanket rejection of Mr. Romney as candidate was one that remained fundamentally true to the principles of Conservatism, in that Mr.Romney in his record of being a liberal-bent, RINO, had not earned the right to wear the crown as Repubican party nominee as champion, defender of party principles, when he espouses liberal policies that true Republican conservatives find particularly galling equally unacceptable.

In the end, months after the controversy had died down, the election of 2012 having ended, it comes as no surprise to have ended in the manner in which Mr. Robinson did all that he could and more, the sagacity and prescience in which he had already determined the outcome to the election is one in which should teach us all not to repeat the mistakes of the past and to heed those we have faith and admiration for in their reading of the political map and and its various minefields.

several prominent Democratic mayors threatened to withhold permits for the Christian business to operate in their cities.

We have a BOR and a court system for a reason. I'd loved to have had a Chi-fil-A franchise and have the rat bass turds withhold a permit for religious reasons! Who is the 'stupid party'?

Well, just make sure

So far I've seen no suggested candidates that would fit your wish list. You do want a moral person with integrity and honor, do you not? I certainly do.

Why do you suppose so many Republicans are anti-Palin, anti-Bachmann and anti-Cain?

Hispanics need jobs and a booming economy just as much as anyone else and they’re family oriented. Sell the message of expanding opportunity, real security and freedom for themselves and their posterity. Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness!

Is that why they voted for Obama over Romney 71% to 27%?

I will only explain this once, If you don’t get it the first time ask your cellmate. Mitt Romney lost because he was an overwhelmingly flawed candidate. And despite Jim Robinson’s opinion,I still nevertheless voted for Mitt Romney

But it was the R party primaries that selected Gov. Romney (and most people thought his choice of Sen. Ryan was a pretty good one, too). Some of the other R candidates got torpedoed almost overnight, rather than running the course and seeing which one was the most popular. So, that is an issue — how do we prevent such things from happening in future so that we are really permitted a choice of all R candidates?

Santorum did quite well head to head against Romney until he dropped out. During contested primaries it was quite clear that the majority of Republican primary voters did not want Romney as the nominee. However, Romney managed to help slime much better conservatives than he right out of the race.

Others have posted it, and I will repeat it: people were warned how horrible a candidate Mitt Romney would be and were warned more than once.

And I will also answer the question before it's asked: the beauty of Ronald Reagan was that he could bypass a media that was as unfriendly to him as it has ever been to any Republican to take a message directly to the American people. Did we have a candidate who could do that who was not named Romney? We will never know, because Romney's GOP-E helped take them all out of the race.

Yeah, because no one bothered selling the message of freedom.

The open borders should have been enough of a message. Maybe Romney needed to speak Mexican so they could better understand. /s

Support for Jim and John - I’m for.

As for your points ... no thanks.

What specific points are you not thanking me for? Was it gay marriage that you said you didn’t have a problem with?

I very much appreciate your kind words. Unfortunately most posters don’t share your enthusiasm. Most of think of me as a brownnoser, but there’s not really anything I can achieve in brownnosing Jim and also have received a lot of criticism but doesn’t bother me in the least Thanks for your comments.

I have been feeling exactly the same... The (R) party has shifted so far left, that it leaves us Conservatives out in the rain..
I will STILL call (R)omney a CINO though.. after his self proclaimed ‘super Conservative’ remark (or whatever it was..)... That one p!ssed me off plenty :/

Well, I unfortunately was not aware of his backtracking and eventually advocated voting for Romney. His vociferous, absolutely adamant, take no prisoners attitude against Romney was so uncompromising absolute, I could never believe he would actually have a change of heart. The post in which I read his edict against voting for Romney was the most intensely tempestuous,free-for-all, anything goes exchange like nothing I have ever seen.

People were confused as hell by Mr. Robinson's announcement about not voting for Romney even though it seemed he was going to win the nomination with mob attitude almost that of a lynch mob.It WAS CRAZY.One gentleman spoke out in the most frank talk directly to Mr. Robinson where Mr. Robinson had gim them zotted on the spot. And when Mr. Robinson responded to a commenter with the unlikeliest of words, F*CK You! All hell broke loose. So I would never imagine him changing his mind. ut he must have realized eventually that he would prefer Romney on any given day over Obama but as they say,I never got the memo. Thanks so very much for leting me know because it does add an overwhelming perspective on things I otherwise would never have found out. Thanks again very much.
