So, what to do now? I have several action items for you. These are all re-hash, but I'll put them together and re-post them because maybe, just maybe, you people are actually ready to listen and do something.
1. TAX STRIKE
If you are self-employed, stop paying quarterlies and DO NOT FILE next April. Boehner rolled over this morning and announced that the "Republicans" are gung-ho to raise taxes. They can only raise taxes on you if you pay taxes. Don't pay. DO NOT FILE.
IF YOU ARE NOT SELF-EMPLOYED and your employer withholds your taxes, all you have to do is increase THE NUMBER OF EXEMPTIONS YOU CLAIM. Exemptions are NOT just wife-and-kids. People who make large charitable donations kick up their exemptions, as do people with big mortgages. In theory, there is no maximum to the number of exemptions you can claim, but 9 is considered to be the "normal" maximum. Go to your human resources / payroll department tomorrow and tell them you want to increase your exemptions and thus decrease your withholding as much as possible. Then, next April, DO NOT FILE.
There is exactly ONE non-violent remedy left to you, and that is a tax strike. If you do not do this, you are guaranteeing, and I mean 1000% guaranteeing, that there will be a massive hot war and genocide in the United States within the next decade. Go find a good teenaged boy. Look into his eyes, and then understand that if we do not starve the Putsch Regime in Washington, that boy will almost certainly die in the war.

And make sure to file suit for theft, under color of law, for withholdings.
She also went off on Boehner without checking the context. He is not for tax hikes - he is for some loop hole closing in exchange for lower rates - thats what he meant by revenues.
Now, as for his obama care statement - he is dead if he really said that.
“So, how do I make this work for me? Simple. I’m going to get some cash deposited into the bank in a quantity that I am prepared to lose, and then I am going to login to my online banking interface and sit here all blessed day and transfer that quantity of money between my bank accounts. I’m hoping to “generate” “income” in the form of credit entries on my bank statements into the eight figures. “
**
As an ex-kanadian, this is how we did it as our national helathcare system basically controls your life. If you do not pay your monthly premiums, the govt goes into your bank account. (this is Obamacare basically) So kanadians (mostly) pay by money order. They don’t want anything connected to their bank accounts.
Stupid, stupid, stupid
First, it doesn’t really matter when the government can just print money.
Second, the only person this will hurt his the person evading taxes. They will run up legal fees defending themselves and end up having their property and other assets seized by the government. They may even end up in jail.
I don’t understand folks (and there are a bunch on FR) who advocate not paying taxes to “starve the beast”.
The fedgov is already spending $1.40 for every $1 of revenue.
Tax shortfalls won’t change that.
They will just create more Baraqqi/Bernanke/Geithner minibucks.
“She has stopped paying income tax and the IRS is putting liens on anything she owns.”
Yes, and that is what will happen to others who follow this “plan”.
And nowadays they don't even have to print. It's all electronic.
Things like this only work if millions do it. Is she the first of many? I doubt it. At least not yet.
Starve the beast, ha
Thats like shoveling an avalanche with a teaspoon.
As with all strikes, (tax strikes are no difference) it requires that very large percentages of people actually strike to make the government feel the pain.
This will not happen, those that do go on a tax strike will wind up in jail penniless or both unless everyone joins in.
Also in case no one has noticed the government just prints or borrows money when revenues don’t meet expenses.
It would make an ineresting picture of hoards of people being hauled into jail because of tax evasion...
Kind of like draft evasion in the 60s...
Who’s up for it?!?!?!?!?
Getting 5 or 10 million people to march on Washington would have far more impact.
Not to mention is goes against the teachings of Christ.
Mark 12 : 13 - 17
13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words.
14 They came to him and said, Teacher, we know you are a man of integrity. You arent swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?
15 Should we pay or shouldnt we?
But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. Why are you trying to trap me? he asked. Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.
16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?
Caesars, they replied.
17 Then Jesus said to them, Give to Caesar what is Caesars and to God what is Gods.
And they were amazed at him
“She also went off on Boehner without checking the context. He is not for tax hikes - he is for some loop hole closing in exchange for lower rates - thats what he meant by revenues.”
Sounds like he’s still okay with giving the Beast more money when we should be starving the thing.
You can’t resist the FedGov. There was a war fought in the 1860’s that determined that you either obey the politicians in DC or die. Now, it’s time to pay the piper, as it were.
What amuses me is all the Freepers who went berserk on me when I pointed this out back when W was still sacred, and who now echo my every point.
It’s called hypocrisy.
“Barnhart is going to be penniless and in prison sooner or later. If you want to join her, just follow her directions here.”
You’re absolutely right. I remember when this kind of activity started up in Las Vegas in the eighties. Talk radio egging them on. Bo Gritz, etc. protest meetings everywhere. Funny thing is, the IRS agents were sitting there in blue jeans right next to the protestors. A lot of ugly things happened in that movement and I wouldn’t suggest it to anyone.
Well not necessarily - we aren’t going to starve it with Obama in the WH - we lost that argument.
And not defending Boehner, just saying Barnhardt was buying the liberal spin about what he said. I love her passion, but she’s a loose cannon and not always totally factual.
She wants to stab Obama with rubber toothpicks and he’ll just squish her like grape.
Stupid party again.
If you advocate “New Revenues” by closing “Tax Loopholes” it is a tax increase. Your tax rate may remain the same, but if you remove deductions under the guise of closing “ loopholes” the result is that more tax is paid, hence a tax increase.
Good insight.
It is said that we are a nation of laws and not men, but that's never been true. All tolerable government depends on what used to be called 'men of goodwill'. God has graciously granted America 'men of goodwill' (until now), even though the foundation for tyranny was laid in the Civil War and the framework has been rising since. The America of Goodwill, RIP.
Actually it's that sort of idea that leads to them thinking themselves invulnerable, and untouchable... but there are things we can do that would totally screw them over.
Unfortunately, we don't own anything in America anymore, we only have obligations. Seizure / forfeiture is how many government agencies raise new revenue sources to service huge deficits that were run up to pay off their political supporters (i.e. public unions).
Want to screw ‘em over? Take kids out of public school and don’t send to a typical college where they’ll party and sleep around every night and turn into atheist liberals. Give up the entertainment. That’s their way in.
Got some bad advice once. Took five years and an awful lot of hassle to get rid of that situation. The lesson here is protest some other way than listening to an idiot.
I guess she doesn't see the irony that her present course will lead to her future housing, meals and clothing all being provided by the taxpayer.
Ok smart ass, I get that - but he did say this would be part of lowering rates. So it’s a shift. But in case you fkn haven’t heard, we lost the Presidential election and the Senate. And in case you haven’t heard, we have three branches of government. Boehner bashing is so easy so often - but its infantile to do it when its not legitimate.
Just wait, he’ll give us a legit reason soon.
Paying taxes is a tax on you. Printing money is a tax on everyone.
Ann’s gone off the deep end, too bad. She will end up in jail along with all the other tax rebels. And someone who says they are a financial advisor should know that changing withholding to delay by 3 months or a year means little to a govt. that will just print more.
Still there are ways to direct anger at the justly deserving IRS. Don’t file your return by electronic or even computer printed forms. Fill in the forms you submit by hand, and worry only about accuracy. In fact, be sure to go out of the lines and make stray marks, weird pens, etc. Make them process it by hand in return. They will be bogged down forever if enough did this.
And there’s no reason to stop with that. Leave off some minor deductions. Then a bit later submit an ameded return to get the remaining $10 back. In the same handwritten way.
Boehner has had his chances to be a leader and done nothing, and before the votes were done being counted he couldn’t wait to beind over and kowtow to Hussein. Those are facts. If you call that bashing then get your boy Boehner to dry his tears, be a man for once, and show some leadership.
If you have any assets whatsoever this is the dumbest advice I have yet seen post election.
Similar to what I was thinking. What if enough people (millions) actually did fail to file taxes and make the IRS spend time warning you that you didn’t file and coming after you? Then when the jig is up hand them the tax form and payment that you filled out months ago. If enough people did that, it might have an impact.
MAYBE, As long as the interest and penalties are figured in, and its timed right.
Let me type slower so you can understand: I am not defending Boehner. I cannot stand him. However, this particular crticism was taken out of context and is not right. Go to Drudge now, see upper left, click, read, learn, then go away.
I am sure Boehner will give us plenty of legit opp to slam him soon...
I think it makes much more sense in this political climate to keep your head under the barbed wire...
What can he do? Consider this fact, the Senate is in the Democrats hands as well as the President. They can vote to repell and will go no where.
What is needed is not authorize money for specific elements of the law. If we can take all 20 Seats in Senate in 2014 and increase the house to 2/3rds then they can pass the bill to kill it, Obama rejects it and then over ride his veto. That is the only solutions now.

Ann needs to be read further to understand this little snippet of her ideas.
She is the only one I have spoken to that understands the war on Christ as I do.
She is the only one that understands that the country didn’t die on Tuesday, it died long ago.
And she is the only one I have spoken that I believe is ready to die both God and Country.
She’s a bit unhinged... ok, she’s totally unhinged - but I say things that my friends and family also say are crazy. And I was right. And I am getting a LOT of calls this week asking for more advice.
If you would have told me that I would drop everything, pick up and move to a VERY different location without the hope of work, money, support or success a few years ago - I would have said that you were the crazy one.
But I have done just that. I left a rather profitable life in a Blue state and moved to a Red state with basically a trunk full of my necessities. I actually did this a few months ago - and I’ve been absent from FR because I have lived in a house with no electricity or running water.
I recently got all of these things turned on, and found a nice way to make money. I am for all intents and purposes - On the run.
I did it to escape New England weather and infrastructure problems, and I did it because I had a gut feeling that Obama would win again. I did it because the safety of my family is more important to me than Netflix and local grocery stores.
I have collected over a year’s worth of food, and have completed my caching project in my new area.
I also sat down and took a long look at the mirror, and at history. I am starting to understand that Americans didn’t fight the revolutionary war because they were bored, or wanted a Montgomery and a nice retirement plan - They were prepared to die for freedom.
Starving the beast seems silly and “idiotic” to most of you. To me, it sounds like a start. I will gladly face jail, death or suffering to do my little teaspoon on the avalanche to protect a nation founded under God, and to ultimately fight the coming nightmare of a world turned against Christianity.
I would do that.
I went to her website to see what she is all about.
She is a kook who will end up with nothing and be in prison.
Care to re-post some of those posts where you've seen this...
Many have "gone Galt", but this in no why implies the individual advocates NOT paying taxes due. The term "going Galt" is used by those who've reduced their taxes owed by reducing the amount of income earned, the number of purchases and their consumption of utilities, entertainment and etc.
You are basically slandering quite a number law abiding Freepers who have no intentions of trying to evade paying taxes due. They are simply living a frugal lifestyle which in turn reduces the amount of taxes owed. Seems you're intent on casting aspersions; something a troll would do, not a true conservative. Or perhaps you simply have no idea what the term "going Galt" implies?
That might explain your irrelavance to half of your daily labor going to the state.
I think what you mean to say is “hand them the tax form and payment and interest”. And maybe penalty. But I think filing for automatic extensions is a nice addition. It’s not the money that matters, it is the paperwork. The IRS can be bogged down by a lot of handwritten filings.
The penniless and incarcerated (or even executed) vs. eternal damnation angle seems to be eluding most here.
I haven’t taken the steps that AB has, but I understand that if I don’t do something, I will be held to account by a much higher power than the IR freaking S for my inaction.
I’m a part-time tax preparer and so while I can’t endorse your ideas I do find them appealing, and certainly better than advising people to break the law!
Another point occurs to me now, you can be penalized for not having enough money withheld, or not paying enough estimated tax throughout the year. This happened to me several years ago.
People are idiots and some of it is on our side. This woman warned people about Mitt. She didn’t want him nominated and he was anyways. She was right. Still is. Nice to see what she is up to now. She is one of the people I trust.
Overall, attempting to see from the perspective of long history, I feel mankind in general is improving. Each experiment we try is better than the last. Each national form we try is freer than the last.
What comes after us is certain to be better, eventually.
Or maybe I’ve just watched to much Star Trek.
The Big Money that controls Washington will always be unassailable as long as young people are willing to kill for the IRS, the FBI, Citibank, etc. Down through the centuries, there’s been an unending supply of dupes and mercenaries for the use of the super-rich. It’s just the way things are.
We can still enjoy some law and order from state gov’t, though. Here in NC, the corrupt Democrats who’ve put us in the toilet after 20 years of looting have finally been swept out and flushed away. A new batch of lawyers have taken control, and we’ll get a chance to see if they’re any different.
A lifetime’s experience with NC politics tends to say “nope,” but one has to hope.
