I guess I've calmed down a little. I am so disappointed in the American people. I really think most have just been dumbed down so much. We need to build people up without Government, educate them on economics and freedom, and the logical conclusion is a conservative majority will emerge. The fact that the election was this close when is was R vs D, the msm, outright lies, fraud and stupidity tells me we have a chance for the future if we can hold on for these next four years, and get out guys into the Senate come mid-terms. We need superior organization, ground game and to stand up for what we believe in -- no more wishey--washey crap. Let's roll!

There is nothing left to do, it is over.

The Democrats have rebuilt their New Deal coalition and it will take at least another decade to crack it.

Right.

Now we can get back to the hard work of reaching across the aisle to help the libs raise taxes and banish freedom.

Aren’t we all happy? :)

Until you attack the root of the failure, the GOP-e, you will be "coming together" behind another RINO in 2016, holding your nose and pulling the level again.

Ready for that? If not, then don't "come together". Force the GOP to go Conservative or leave it. No more lesser of two evils. I mean LEAVE IT.

If there is no Conservative on the ballot, don't vote that line. Period.

What we need is first to stop with the whole ‘consensus candidate’ crap the RINOs keep diving us into. We need to knock those RINOs out of the party leadership, and re-order the primary process to favor a path that rewards conservatives and weeds out the liberals.

Second, we actually need the House to stop shooting this nation in the back of the head. No dollar gets spent in Washington without the approval of the House, and they are the ones operating without a budget, and giving signed blank trillion dollar checks to the president.

Finally, we have to end the fricking gravy train of public service. No more six figure retirements, no more benefits to anyone elected or appointed to their position, and especially, no retirement benefits for someone who can be voted out of office, or dismissed when a new politician steps in.

It is our own party who continues to sabotage each election and the economy, and we must put a stop to it.

I still don’t understand how so many experts thought that the Republicans had a really good chance, and almost all of the close races were lost. Can someone explain that?

I’m not even blaming Obama, he just who he is.

It is the American people.
The tipping point has arrived. We had a good enough candidate. The issues that he we lost on are as follows.

30 year or more of the government teacher’s union brainwashing our children who are now voting.
47 million people on food stamps and other things that want to vote a government party in that gives them more of this stuff.
Lucrative government union jobs that have grown by leaps and bounds to the point of 1-9 working for the government now. They and people they know are going to vote for the government party.
Females who want social safety nets for everything under the sun.

You add it up and IMO even Ronald Reagan would have had a tough time winning. He couldn’t even get elected governor now in California.

Our electorate has changed.
IMO we are now going to accelerate the national crash, but people are going to want to take all the way down to the crash and burn.

Will they learn, will their pride ever let them admit mistakes? I doubt it.

I’m not shooting anyone or myself in any circle, but IMO we are watching the end of what was America the way Rome once was watching their own decline. We are fading, and being unable to remove a very bad President who has done bad things because he gives so many people stuff is the sign of our downfall.

Don’t tell it to conservatives. Tell that to the RINO’s who are even now braying that it was Limbaugh, right wing bible thumpers and who knows what else, that cost the election.

We gave their candidate a shot, again, with the worst President in American history and he managed to lose.

Now watch as RINO’s bow down to the Obama agenda... I’m sorry they already did that when Beohner said Obamacare would be funded.

‘settled law’ ya know?

The Dems are incremnetalists and we are all or nothings.

“We need to blame the media”
****************************************
That is exactly where my husband is hanging the blame. He sent me out of my skin before we lost. I was tending my chili and he had come in the kitchen and pounded the counter, it’s the media that caused this! Gads did I jump!

We can start by not going to Massachusetts for the most liberal republican presidential candidates in history.

“I think Bill Weld comes as close as anyone,” Romney said when asked whom in his party he aligned with.

“I was an independent during the time of Reagan-Bush. I’m not trying to return to Reagan-Bush,”

“I’m not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses.”

Nice post, but good luck. When Obama nominates some ACLU red diaper doper baby to SCOTUS we will have plenty of FReepers here to tell us that Romney would have nominated someone worse.

Sorry, I know you are extending the olive branch here, but we are deeply divided against the wall of reality. To capture the Latino vote the GOP can’t be seen as anti-immigrant so if they oppose immigration reform they may lose any chance of gaining the White House. If the GOP supports immigration reform to try and peel off some Hispanics they lose part of the base who then vents about it further cementing Hispanics and democrats together.

Political correctness, the rule of law, political dogma, and irrefutable math for future elections all collide and it will be impossible for the GOP to juggle this mess to the satisfaction of the base.

Same thing with entitlement reform.... people who talk about cutting your benefits are never going to be popular with you. The democrats promise to increase entitlements so they are the party of “yes” and the GOP is the party of “no.” This is bad retail politics. Just read a thread on social security here on FR... it is a 3rd rail of politics for a reason, but without addressing all entitlements we will go bankrupt.

The Tea Party can sweep off-year elections, but we just learned today that while they are influential, they are not decisive in Presidential elections.

I wish I had the answer. I do know this... we could elect the most conservative candidate in the world and he/she could implement all the cuts and fiscal austerity measures to balance our budget and the GOP would get clobbered in the mid-terms and lose in the following election to the same type of socialist that France just elected for the same reason. That my FRiend, is why our republic is doomed.

Hear, hear, I totally agree. Obama barely won. Nothing changed in congress, though a few poor senate candidates were elected...huge missed opportunity.

You’re definitely not alone. I place no blame with Mitt Romney. He had no chance from the start, not because of who he was, but because of what the country has become.

Face it guys, we are now a large minority, like the Copts in Egypt, and you should prepare to be treated in a similar way.

No one in their right mind could blame Mitt. He gave us a special view of a renewed dream of America, the America we knew in the past. It is gone for now but maybe not gone forever.

We are morally bankrupt. That we have a president, elected twice, who could not bring himself to ban partial birth abortion, who is a consistent liar, who has been propped up by a corrupt media, is a sign of the moral bankruptcy of this country. I fear for our children and grandchildren.

I don’t feel the need to educate any of these pigs that voted for Obama. You can’t fix stupid. They have had every chance to education, freebies and all of the perps this country can hand out to people.

You have a large minority that votes with their skin color, you have another that wants nothing more than amnesty for illeal aliens and a free pass on their own illegal status in this country. You have women voting with their girl parts and another group that sees their entire existence contingent on their sexual orientation.

The worse part is the monster sized group that wants your personal wealth so that they never have to work a day in their life. Just too many takers that are contributing nothing to society except their existence.

Now, I would say that we have a real big problem. Obama is a symptom. It is the people of this country that are the problem. Half of this country is perverse, lazy, deviant, criminal and socialist.

I don’t think I feel like rallying the troops or saving the sinkers. And, I don’t blame Romney. He and Ryan did a lot better than I thought they would. The odds were against them.

I hate this is happening to the greatest country in history. A lot of people have given so much for the freedoms we are losing so rapidly. I am sick that the pigs don’t even know or care who those American heroes are nor do they care.

Is your post a script and a paid for message from Tea Party Express? or The Blaze?

Enough of the movement/re-building crap.

The GOP doesn’t want us. They don’t want Conservatives and they don’t want The Tea Party.

Other than Ted Cruz...they all got tossed tonight. Scott Brown, Allen West, Michelle Bachmann, Mia Love, Todd Aiken etc....all of them...GONE.
