But Mitt Romney's a Mormon! (Fear not)

Our White House has been residence to Unitarians, at least one likely Deist, and multiple Freemasons. Is Romney’s Mormonism really any weirder?

I look at it this way: a president who is pro-Muslim is guaranteed to work against the interests of non-Muslim citizens of America. Besides that, Obama has a vested interest in increasing the size of government, increasing the size of the welfare system (look at what he's done with food stamps) and increasing the power of unions, because unions and those dependent on government are his BASE.

Contrast that with the Mormon's incentives: the Mormon church has its own welfare system, so Mormons are supporting their church's welfare system AND the government's, which must be irritating to the average Mormon. Mormons are more pro-life, less pro-gay, and more concerned with upholding moral standards than the general population. Mormons are more likely to have incomes above $50K than the general population, so they are disproportionately taxpayers.

If Romney caters to Mormon interests, it means he caters to the interests of the middle class and conservatives.

If you thought that I were ignorant, then you would challenge me on my facts.

You didn’t/couldn’t even try that, which is what we are here for, we don’t care to hear about your personal feelings.

MY skin has been toughened by use all these years. It is a necessity on FR these days.

It is easy to see why, the way you dump all this mass of rainbow colored cut and pastes that no one reads and which destroys a thread and makes it unreadable.

You even go after those of us that share most of the same views as you, I have asked you to quit spamming these massive cut and pastes to me and to direct it to those that disagree with you, or that you want to educate, but you have admitted that you cannot control yourself, I would like you to continue fighting your impulses, and direct your posts to the people disagreeing with you, not to me.

No, those childish personal attacks are about the best that you are capable of.

That is why you attack the poster rather than respond to the post itself.

Your bias AGAINST Islam is showing.

Do you RALLY think that MUSLIMs do NOT have ‘middle class interests’?

For things that no one reads, the FR mormons sure seem to get upset over SOMETHING!

Then post it to them, direct your posts to the Mormons, to the Mormon defenders, to those who are indifferent to Mormonism, to those who are arguing with me, but post at them, not at me.

Why am I not surprised that a rabid anti-Romney advocate turns out to be a closet Muslim sympathizer?

A true Muslim's highest goal is the dominance of Islam. A Muslim who permits economic interests to prevail over that goal is considered a traitor by true Muslims.

I'm SURE you can fill in THIS blank:

A true MORMON's highest goal is the ____________.

Or "A true CHRISTIAN's highest goal is ____________".

See where the analogy breaks down?

I can show you many passages in the Quran and Hadith that are pretty explicit that the Muslim's goal is to dominate over the non-Muslim, and to kill any who resist.

Show me passages from the Book of Mormon laying out a DUTY of Mormons to kill or enslave any who refuse to convert, and then we'll talk.

I'll give you a sample from Quran 9:111 :

Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah , so they kill and are killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah ? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.

The others don’t call themselves Christians.
mormons insist now (didn’t 20 years ago) to be called Christians and they are not.
The foundation of mormonism is anti-Christian and anti-God Almighty, it in essence was their missions statement.

Religion Forum - religious discussion
You are the first one to bring up hate, I will add to it - you appear to hate reason.
There is a difference between individual mormons and mormonISM.
mormonISM foundation is anti-Christian, anti-God Almighty, until a few years ago they demanded to not be called Christians, now mormonISM wants to be viewed as normal, and are demanding they be referred to as Christian.
mormonISM is not Christianity.

Another post of hate, not by people who are exposing mormonISM but by people who know nothing of mormonISM except the nice guy next door, apparently.
God is clear, as Christians we are to call out false teachings and prophets, if you view that as hate - take it up with God, I am sure He’d like to hear from you, especially you telling Him He is hateful.

Huge difference between Christianity and mormonISM.
Christians have never expressed a desire beyond the constitution to have a theocracy (no matter what the left says - they are just projecting), however Joesph Smith and his posse stated, wrote about and tried to take over the US government because they wanted mormonism law ruling/running the country.

You statement might be valid if mormonism were in any fashion a Christian denomination - it is not so your statement fails.

What an odd thing to write. This is the religion forum, and a religious discussion, are you unaware that your statement is just void.

“Druid or a Hindu or a Budddhist”, do no call themselves Christians, mormonism is now demanding it, after over 150 years demanding they were not called Christians.
And that would make sense as mormonISM was founded as anti-Christian and anti-God.
