He told investigators that when he went to bed that evening he heard a “crunchy” noise that sounded and felt like plastic underneath the sheets. When he asked Renee what it was, she told him that she had put down extra blankets for comfort.

Police later discovered a layer of black plastic underneath the sheets and found a number of large aluminum roasting pans, numerous towels and a number of bottles of bleach — all items that Brett said were unusual to have in the house.

There are times when you just have to resign yourself to the fact that your wife is planning to cut your head off with a power saw.

Note to Home Depot: Do not sell power tools to a woman scorned.

At least this crazy *itch is in jail where she can’t hurt the children. They have got to be scarred by having an insane mother, but hopefully, they can be helped.

I hate to say this, but I’m afraid this marriage might not work out. Things seem a bit tense in that household. Perhaps with counseling, he could learn to stop being annoying to her and learn to speak in a supportive way to her. Because it’s always the guy’s fault, you know. < /s>

Loved her foresight with the plastic sheeting and roasting pans, BTW. Always think ahead! You don’t want to mess up a perfectly good mattress when you butcher your spouse with a tiger saw. But in general, I would advise an 18-inch wood-metal wrecking blade for a job like this. You can get them in a three-pack at Home Depot for about $20. Worth the investment when you have a big job to do.

his wife was holding the saw, but, luckily for him, it was a reciprocating saw with a small blade. He then said he pushed her away and got out of bed, but she swung a hatchet at him and struck him in shoulder and then swung a mallet at him, hitting him in back of head. ... He married a well-armed (three armed) woman.

Waiting for Leftists to demand a mandatory waiting period prior to the sale of any power tools, hatchets or mallets....  3....2....1....

I'm thinking that she was using both hands and he was only using one.

She was certainly dangerous,it’s a good thing she didn’t know much about power tools. An electric chainsaw would have done the job for her.

Agreed, although they'll always be the winners in any one-upmanship conversation about whose upbringing was more destructive to their lives.  It's pretty hard to beat: "Your dad was an abusive  drunk? Yeah, well my mom tried to cut off my dad's head with a power saw."

That pretty much stops the conversation right there.

If he was asleep and she tried to use hat thing she is terribly deficient in motor co-ordination or terribly drunk to not succeed immediately.

I the good old days I remember
with a knife she would try to dismember
just your most valued part, your member.

But today it’s Ryobi, Makita, Black and Decker
and the target more valuable than your pecker

Lock up the tool shed each night before bed
and sleep with one eye open, and you might keep your head.
