It surprised me how long it took before someone posted Kevin Carter’s photograph.

The guy had been stripped naked and was hanging from a tree limb by one leg (rope attached at the foot) and a long wooden shaft had been inserted deep into him.. he had to be dead by that time.

Pearl Harbor survivor Houston James of Dallas is overcome with emotion as he embraces Marine Staff Sgt. Mark Graunke Jr. during the Dallas Veterans Day Commemoration at Dallas City Hall in 2005.
