Everybody needs a fake account to get their daily talking points from folks like Cain and Palin.
Just change the name to an alias, switch to a throwaway email addy, and rock on.

it never goes away...You can delete your account...2 years later sign your name and password you had in the box and it will ALL come back..I know i tried it...

You can’t. They own your data now, though you can shut down your account.

I don’t think that is very difficult, although I never needed to.
However: how to you uncontact a contact on linkedin?

I want my stuff off their site.
It isn't your stuff. When you put it on Facebook, it becomes their stuff, and they can do with it whatever they want to.

Type “permanently delete Facebook account” into Google. Click on the blue link and follow directions.

As others have said, you simply can not delete it. You can make it “inactive” but all your information, and everything posted to it, exists until the next comet to kill the dinosaurs hits the Earth.

Find out what FB policies would cause them to run you off, then do it.

You can’t....lol. I have a Facebook account and love it. You should just enjoy it because it never goes away....seriously. At least if you keep it, you can control it.

I've got some problems but Facebook isn't one of them, I have never been tempted to sign up.

I use Facebook exclusively to allow me to be able to log onto local news sites and comment on their anti-conservative/anti-gun bias.
And I get a lot of people, “Liking,” my commentary.
It’s the only thing I use it for.

You can’t. You’re doomed to haunt the search pages of Facebook forever even after you deactivate. Facebook never gives up it’s deactivated.

You better try before your data gets migrated to a Gov't-sponsored site:
