Oh, be still my beating heart!

It makes me smile, too! (And the frame is a perfect match!)

Awww..how sweet, Kitty.
I have a pair of gorgeous Bluejays hanging around today..and a Mockingbird..They ususally don’t stay so long but must like the bird saucers in this heat.
I regret that messy starlings have found the water , too.
Huge crows have been showing up, too.

(((((Thank you, Dear Meg!)))))

I Wish I could See More Birds Around Here; I Need to Replace my Birdbath that Began Leaking and will Non Longer Hold Water.
The Cardinals are still Here, but I haven't Seen a Mockingbird in Quite Awhile.
I Wish the Meadowlarks of Springtime were still Here; they were So Pretty.

I use large clay saucers that one buys to go under a pot..They are the perfect height..not too deep and the birds and critters both like them..
They are so easy to clean.

Yeah, Cheney really lost me on that comment.

Anyone want his book “In My Time” real cheap? (kidding)

LOL

Really don’t want to finish reading it much anymore.

It is not a very “fast read”. I gave up half way through.

Hello, Ebay. Another unwanted item goes up for auction.

It was nice of Liz Cheney to come to Sarah’s defense.

Thank you, Liz!

Welcome to August FRiends. Time marches on. Busy time for most as preparations begin for school again. Hard for me to realize that Emma will be a big second grader. BTW, she had her tonsils and adenoids out today. Poor baby, I imagine tomorrow will be a pretty bad day for her. Today she was still under the influence and was feeling pretty good. I kept “little Houdini” today also. Talk about a challenge. She is so funny but she has this incredible talent for disappearing and turning up in the oddest places. Turn your back and she will be standing in the middle of the dinner table, or hiding in a tiny space between a chair and the wall. You have to laugh at her antics.

Oh yorkie, he did very well for his first longgggg ride. He only missed one day. He rode 360 miles. He raised $2,399.02. The 2 cents are significant. It is there because the children at our annual camp meeting held a competition between the boys and the girls to see who could bring in the most change from piggy banks, parent's pockets, begging, etc. They raised $500 and 2 cents. I love seeing that 2 cents because those kids worked so hard and gave so much.

I need your mailing address so Roy can send you a thank you card. It was so sweet of you to help out. He really appreciates everyone who gave (and I love you). What he did was extremely hard. The weather was so hot. One day it was 105 degrees and he rode 87 miles. The other days were almost that hot. When he got home his feet and legs swelled, but I had him drink a lot of water to flush the toxin out of his body from all the stress he put on it and he's better today.
