It's one of my favorite words.

Living in an old Victorian with the window sills a mere 16" from the floor, it runs through my mind frequently. :-)

Unfortunately, I took Latin in high school, so I learned fenestra before I heard of the Defenestration of Prague.

In 2008 we took a trip to Europe. We stopped in Prague to visit a cousin of mine who showed us how to use the local transportation system, as she was going to have to work most of the time we were there. One day we tried to go see Prague Castle, but got off at the wrong stop. After much wandering about we were only able to catch a glimpse from a distance. We were so tired we just went back to her apartment. Maybe it’s for the best we never got there...
