Massive temperature changes everyday since 1969. But a day on the Moon lasts about 28 Earth days.

I used to have the Hot Wheels of that car. What model is it?

That is still a lot of temp changes in 43 years.

It is a car Gene Winfield customized called the Reactor. He worked at AMT so this was probably made into a model. If you are bored, look the history of the car up sometime. Very interesting.

one 28th of 43 is 1.5. That the equivalent of 1.5 years of day-night temp changes. That’s not much.

It looks old and dirty, so why doesn’t he just have Jeannie blink it clean and new?

LOL. The Day Night temps you speak of are like 250F to -450F degrees roughly.

minus 250 to plus 250
And that’s all folks...no other stresses or erosions to contend with. No bacteria, molds, fungus, virus, oxygen, water, acids/bases, corrosion, oxidation, etc
technology back then will almost certainly mean a camera made entirely of metal and glass. It will be fine.

"After the way it aged her? Some things you just can't restore."It was the scarf, as much as the car that "aged" her.

Not so much. A moon day is about 28 days. At 15700 days since 1969, that would be 560 times it has gone through the massive temp change.

I said the camera would be fine originally. You asked what could cause problems. I gave you a reason.. I'm the car guy here, not the space guy.
