So, I see your tagline hides your support for Romney.
What we American premillenialists believe is that the US is not finished with the nation of Israel. That has absolutely nothing to do with avoiding foreign entanglements and defending our nation.
Baldwin said:
To be sure, not all believers agree on the subject of Israel. Christians are divided between pre-millennialism, post-millennialism, and even amillennialism. For the most part, pre-millennialists (such as me) believe that God will yet fulfill the Davidic Covenant with the nation of Israel. Post-millennialists, on the other hand, believe that the Church, which is the Body of Christ, is the complete fulfillment of God's promises to Abraham and David.
What does this say about Romney?

For decades the Mormon Church has been trying to extend its influence and activities in Arab countries; it has consistently been rejected. Now, paradoxically, the Mormons have been given a new opportunity by an unlikely ally, the State of Israel. It is fair to assume the Church will use its vast, deluxe, Brigham Young University Study Center in Jerusalem as a base for its missionary operations throughout the entire region.
“It’s unfortunate that we, as Church members, so often have a pro-Israel bias. We’ve been blinded to the rights of the Arab Palestinian people,” said David Galbraith, director of the BYU program in Israel, and president of the Israeli branch of the International Mission of the Mormon church. “Eventually we have to take the gospel to the Arabs and the Jews and we won’t succeed if we are politically one-sided.”
Until a few years ago, the United Palestinian Appeal, a funding front for the PLO, was directed by a Mormon bishop, Omar Kader. The founder and original director is an advisor to the PLO representative at the United Nations and publishes AlFajir, a pro-PLO newspaper. The current director is Bashara Bajbah, a pro-PLO advocate and, like Kader, a faculty member at BYU. Bajbah also has close ties to AlFajir.
A high ranking Mormon, Orin Parker, has been the director of AMIDEAST, and is one the board of ANERA, anti-Israel organizations that have been identified by the Anti-Defamation League and the American-Israeli Public Affairs Committee as part of a “campaign to discredit Israel” through Arab propaganda in America.
The Constitution Party’s last candidate, Chuck Baldwin, was a premillenialist for who replacement theology is totally rejected.
However, I’m sure there are presbyterian and other denominations represented in the CP as well as other parties. They tend toward replacement theology.
So, replacement theology by some members of the Republican Party means that the Republicans reject Israel?
Any party worth its name will have a plan to grow and eventually win....especially a party named “The Constitution Party.”
Polls say 40% of the electorate is conservative. If they stuck together with a conservative candidate, they could win now and tell mitt and barack to take a hike.
Pat Buchanen rejected the CP and stayed a republican...which he is now...and his sister is part of Romney’s campaign team.
What’s that tell you?
I've searched the web with all kinds of combinations including "Constitution Party" and Israel and Jews, and I come up with nothing.
Same here. We're going to get a lot of that from now on. The unfortunate thing about all this is... it never had to happen. If the GOP estabs could've seen the light after the Tea Party-propelled election wins in 2010 and embraced the fact the conservative movement within the GOP isn't just a passing fad, none of this would be necessary.
Initially, it was a tough decision, but one I'm glad I made. Doesn't mean I won't vote for GOP candidates down-ticket, because I most certainly will... but not for Mitt Romney.
And that's not uncommon with nascent political movements... some of the more vociferous voices will come to the fore, but eventually, as more conservatives migrate over to it, the natural leaders with traditionally conservative ideologies will rise to the top.
Replacement theology says that the Christian world replaced the Jewish people as "Israel" in G_d's eyes and inherit all His promised blessings promised to Israel because the Jewish people rejected the Messiah. It's a pretty creepy idea in my book.
I want Mitt Romney, Ann Coulter, Carl Rove, Matt Drudge and all the rest of the RINO-pushing GOP elite to know that I won’t go quietly. I will not vote for a liberal regardless of their party affiliation.
For those of you holding your nose and voting for Mitt this year, remember you’re voting for a man who advocated and even PUSHED FOR underage abortions without parental consent, Gay marriage and assault weapon bans as well as raised the corporate tax rate 3 TIMES! There is no way of ignoring that.
I simply won’t stand for it as a conservative. Period.
That’s the best way for the Constitution Party to get rolling, that’s on the down ticket and after Obama gets the boot. We could keep Romney for just one term and then switch to the Constitution candidate.
BTW, Bay Buchanan is a Mormon, so it’s no surprise that she supports Romney.
I’m writing in Sarah Palin. Anyone who says its a vote for karab amabo can kiss Karl Rove’s @$$.
The cool thing about voting in the country is that when I vote 3rd Party, there's always one or two others in my precinct (they run the results in the local paper)and it's fun to speculate who it might be.
Lawyers: Get ready for another major pay day by claiming the Fibbies are acting as a good squad. Just like the movie "Extraordinary Rendition" It's also coming very soon to a FEMA "Detention Center" near you. Those idiots working as TSA goons can get guaranteed employment as water boarding torturers. . . . !
Big deal.. The candidate still lost.. I’ll be impressed when the Constitpation Party candidate wins something..
So how can you be a Conservative, that wants high tariffs so I can be forced to pay extra for stuff made in China and still pay extra for the union bum made stuff??
What if, in Conressional districts where the 'rats have a safe supermajority, a third party like the CP saw a niche where they could seriously draw conservative/republican votes and build a grass root or two. Running a Presidential candidate is pointless and risible.
OTOH, local elections, with personal campaigning door to door, would be another matter.
Of course that would mean hard work for the sake of mere footholds, but a foothold is better than a nothing presidential vote.
