i saw tweets about the BC thing asking if we had to also pay for the liquor the guys would need to get them in the mood!
...that kind of thinking lead us to the cigarette after...
Nice hat indeed, Dave-a wardrobe accessory here.
For a long time now, every time the wind blows hard from the north or east, you can hear the sound of metal banging on something-it is so loud that it makes dogs bark, and sounds spooky at night, since it is the only noise out here besides the wind.
It was breezy this morning, so I decided to look for that damn noise, and found it-about half a mile away over the next hill is one of those long-abandoned cabins almost hidden in the trees and brush. Behind it, an old metal storage shed has a panel loose that is banging against the frame whenever the wind blows. I’m going to take a hammer and a couple of big nails up there and shut that noise up.
That place, like so many others up here has been untouched for so long that 15 ft. trees have grown up all around it, and even through the rotted part of the deck. The path and driveway to it are completely overgrown, the old cesspit is long fallen in, but the windmill is intact, the flower beds still have iris plants in them, and with the old metal chairs on the porch and a swing in the yard it looks almost like someone might walk out at any minute-it feels like everything is just waiting, somehow-creepy.
These woods are full of forgotten places like that-this is the fourth one I’ve come across within less than 2 miles of the house. If I ever wanted to play hide-and-seek, I’d certainly know where to do it.
Whoa T5, that sounds like a good setting for a novel....
Hail Thether!
ok, ya fairy ; )
I HOPE Davy Jones was a believer.....RIP.
Yeah, a Steven King novel.
He should get an extra bone today. Woof woof!
Thank you! I make every attempt to stay away from the cougar’s hunting places, especially around dawn and dusk.
I just heard that female Georgetown law student prattling about going broke buying contraceptives-she didn’t exactly help her casuse, I don’t think. Never mind her future as an attorney...
can you label the freepers, please?
OMG no, are you saying Davey Jones died today? from the Monkees? the man i loved back in 2d grade???? i slept with his pic under my pillow!
left to right: oneparticularharbour, rika, neo, reagangirl, me and dan from michigan.
yes, a heart attack. today.
oh nO!!!! and he was on Boy Meets World much more recently, along with peter tork and mickey dolenz!
oh, yeah......I mixed up Dan and Neo
i look positively swarthy in the pic which is odd bc i am really not remotely dark skinned. i must have been FLUSHED from all the skittles ; )
I heard about Davey Jones-a shame. I thought some of their songs were okay. Lots of men die of heart attacks in their 40’s and 50’s now-if they get to age 60, they are pretty likely to live long, though-wonder why the early demise of so many?
