I actually have an idea for a story/novel that incorporates one of those lost places-not a scary story, though-an old mystery solved, something like that.

I’m not spooked by the old places in the woods-of course, if I went there at night, I might well be terrified-there is a light/lantern that can be seen moving in the woods, like someone carrying it on some nights-I’ve seen it several times, with MrT5 and neighbors-but there are enough REAL hazards in the forest at night to keep smart people in well-lighted places.

I love to wander around those old places, absorbing the atmosphere and enjoying the absolute solitude. Each one has a very distinct “feeling” to it-most peaceful and calm, some sad. It is a quiet, calm place to get rid of stress-I always feel re-energized when I get back.

I’m going to bring a bouquet of those iris home when they bloom to put in a vase here in the kitchen. I don’t often bring things from those places to my house-I believe that if a bad thing happened there, you might bring something sad or even evil into your home. I doubt flowers would do that, but I’ve heard otherwise from some neighbors. I suppose I’ll see which is true when those iris bloom...

I’ve got a hammer, a few nails, and a little trowel packed up-I’m going to go nail down that noisy metal siding at the place over the hill and look for interesting plants-back in an hour or less...

Sounds like a duct tape job to me.

OH...K.......now I have an earworm...

If I had a hammer
I’d hammer in the morning
I’d hammer in the evening
All over this land
I’d hammer out danger
I’d hammer out a warning
I’d hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters
All over this land

Duct tape would not have done the trick-the frame of the shed is pretty rotten, and the metal is not galvanized-just that tin stuff they used in the early 1900’s, so I don’t know how long my repair with nails will last-but for now, the shed is silenced...

I liked that song when I was a kid.

I’m grilling catfish for dinner, and I steamed some broccoli to go with it. What is blueberry buckle? I’ve never heard of it, but it sounds good.

Oh wow, look at that. LOL

That had to have been at least 10 years ago. Amazing how time flies.

:-)
