Some are calling a greeting card offensive, but others say the mass-produced card available at Target is just a joke.
On the outside, it reads Heard youre pregnant.
On the inside, there is just one word
lets just say it starts with a w and rhymes with bore.

I can think of 535 people to send this to...minus the "heard you're pregnant" part.

Oh man, I have a female friend who would love that card (The “W” word is a long running joke between us).
I do see where people would take offense, though. Not a lot of people would find the card funny. I certainly wouldn’t send it to a family member or most of my friends (save the one mentioned above) who happened to be pregnant.
There’s also the fact that it’s being sold at a mainstream store like Target. It would be like carrying tees from T-Shirt Hell in the Men’s Department. Just not really the place one expects something like that.

Perhaps distasteful, but not necessarily offensive.
But, I do find it interesting that the TV station in this report bought the card and provided some free advertising for the card and Target.

Thanks, Dirty Laundry is a much over looked song.
I have met him several times at shows, bars and restaurants and he really is a good guy.
One night a long, long time ago when I was on a date and was eating at an all night restaurant in Austin, Don was at the table next to us and said hello to me even remembering my name. My date was quite impressed.

I want to know if the card poses a statement or a question...
To: Slings and Arrows
I think it’s a cute idea for a card.

The word "whore" has become almost like the word "N" where it can be said among that section of the culture.
Young unmarried women "baby momma's" call each other that word just like the blacks call each other the "N" word
I know...I know... makes one wonder just HOW much lower can our culture sink

That’s stupid as well as offensive. Shows the kind of childish mind that create it and the childish mind that could sell it.

This reflects a typical mindset in our society, which takes the same attitude toward random promiscuity or faithful marriage: sexual activity is to go on at all times, and deciding against it for moral or practical reasons is deeply suspicious ... but there’s something absolutely horrible about pregnancy and birth.
I think it suggests a higher incidence of homosexuality than many would admit, since that is the subgroup most noted for both compulsive sex-acts and sterility.

Wait a minute, not offensive? Imus might disagree with you considering the reason for his career change.

Shows the kind of childish mind that create it and the childish mind that could sell it. And the childish mind that would buy it.
It occurred to me long ago as I was looking at some clothing items that I thought were about the ugliest things I had ever seen, that while I couldn't figure out who on earth would buy something like that, someone had to THINK it up, like it enough to purpose making it, agree to manufacture it, and think it would actually sell.
And there it was in the stores.....
Sometimes I just can't figure where some people's minds are.
