A high school buddy of mine is in town for a while and we're headed for the cape to watch tomrrow's launch, or get rained on! I've never watched a launch when I had a good camera, maybe I'll get lucky.
If we get rained out I want to try for some shots in the wildlife refuge.

Have fun! Hope all goes as planned!
We did get to see the last Discovery launch, but can’t make it over there for this launch tomorrow.

Hope you get pictures of the launch and the swamp! If you get a chance look at this awesome 360 - 720 view of the flight deck of a shuttle space craft.
Watch out! It is a dizzying - kind of like weightlessness. Oh and Don't touch any switches or knobs!

Wave goodbye to our space program when you are there. The Putz needs the money for more union bribes.

If you see a group of kayaks watching the launch ... a number of people there are friends/acquaintances of mine.
Hope the weather is good and that there are no more lightening strikes in the area.

The rain is usually an afternoon or evening thing, tomorrow morning may be clear enough for the launch.

The weather chic on Fox said Sunday looked like a better day.....
I'm less than 30 minutes from the Cape and it's been raining here ...steadily...since late morning.

Normally true, but there is a tropical "wave" heading this way over the next several days, and there is a much higher than normal chance of rain.
Still, one can hope!

My friend has a favorite spot so I don't know where we will end up.
I've got spotting scopes and binoculars lined up at the door and my telephoto lenses for the cameras ready to go.
I am gonna take a picture of something one way or the other.
If you scrub the launch stand on the roof and wave, I may be able to snag a picture, LOL
I've got everything programmed into my Garmin so I'll know what I'm looking at.
