A Tea Party protest will take place on August 11, 2011, starting at 8:00 A.M. in front of the Antrim County Michigan Courthoue, on M-88.
The State of Michigan is trying to solve their deficit problem and insane spending by eliminating our Constitutinally created Township government.
It is time to take a stand together and let these socialist see that we are not going to take their out of control actions, their 11 millions dollars of unfounded liability to Union members, when Antrim County provides no services to the people at large, and has no authroty to enter into any contracts with union employees for any reason!

Antrim County Board of Commissioners proved absolutely No County services, yet has a 11 million dollars of unfounded liability promised to Union employees and themselves. Sounds exactly like Star City Califonia prior to the arrests!
the elimination of our Township governments (government closest to the people) will centralize government power, with centralized planning, and centralized government control!
We cannot allow this to continue! Time to take a stand against this usurpation of our authority and limitaitons placed in the State of Michigan Constitution of 1963!

Thanks, I’ve been aware of this but haven’t followed it too closely. From what I’ve seen here in my county it faces stiff opposition simply because there are lots of little towns and lots of townships outside the city of Jackson.
