Look up MCL 46.11 for the limitations on your county government. I contend that the State has no authority to have “County Boards of Commissioners” look up Article 7, Sections 7 and 8 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963.

Thanks, I’ve been aware of this but haven’t followed it too closely. From what I’ve seen here in my county it faces stiff opposition simply because there are lots of little towns and lots of townships outside the city of Jackson.
