The Doggfather wraps up an incredible six months of entertainment in Abu Dhabi
The inaugural Yas Island Show Weekends in Abu Dhabi wrapped up last Friday with a spectacular finale featuring the American superstar rapper, Snoop Dogg. The self-proclaimed Doggfather received a roaring welcome from a crowd of 10,000 people at the Yas Arena, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, making the event another success for FLASH Entertainment.
Performing his latest hits, including Prince Williams bachelor party anthem Wet off his latest studio album, Doggumentary, Snoop Dogg entertained the crowd for almost two hours. Fans were left wanting more as he belted out some of his more memorable songs over the last two decades with tunes such as Snoop Doggy Dog, I Wanna Rock, Nate Dogg, Hypnotize and Drop it. In appreciation to Snoop Dogg, renowned Saudi designer and fan, Hatem Al Akeel, presented a Kandoura or dishdasha to the hip-hop icon as a gift, especially designed for him. Snoop Dogg performed the first few songs wearing the Kandoura.
Adam England from the UK said: I cant believe FLASH actually brought the Doggfather himself to Abu Dhabi. It was an amazing concert. The organization was superb and we had a blast.
FLASH never fails to surprise us by bringing the best international artists from around the globe. Ive attended every single show at the Yas Arena and I can tell you that each one of them was a unique experience for my friends and I. So thank you FLASH! said Samira Ahmed from Lebanon.
His appearance in Abu Dhabi is proof that hip-hop is alive and kicking in the Middle East.

LOL, in all seriousness, I love the dog, no matter how stupid he is.. just the gin and juice.
I agree. He is a trip. But a good father. He keeps it real.
Snoop, Dr. Dre, et al, remind me of my youth... rap was just fun, even the so called “gansta”. I was a metal head (still am) but I love that classic rip.
These kids are soft I tell ya. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Joey Bishop would laugh. They didn’t need juice.

Bomb shizznit! Fo sho!
It is funny. NWA was one of my favorite groups, now my 13 year old daughter loves it. I hate that she loves it because of all the swearing and degradation. But sheesh. Still the best beats and cuts, and some of the best Raps.. You know what I mean. And it is funny. I was dj and was totally into rap when I was growing up.But now I love all music.
Since our culture is completely in the sewer system, I give you the latest music with its real lyrics instead of the forget you one hears on the radio:F.... YOU (read without the ellipses) -- THE VIDEO
f... you (read without the ellipses) from the music industry
Here is also the stuff I tried to play as the amateur musician that I am:tristesse etude as a memorial for my cousin
You are crazy if you let your 13 year old daughter listen to NWA.
Thats what I say. But she is going to do it. I rant and rave about it and she turns on the radio now and hears just as bad. I know ultimate parent failure. But shes a good kid.
There has always been a gulf between “serious” music and popular music. There was some godawful pop in the 30s and 40s, too.
Oh, and here’s the lyrics to In the Hall of the Mountain King:
Slay him! The Christian’s son has bewitched
The Mountain King’s fairest daughter!
Slay him!
Slay him!
May I hack him on the fingers?
May I tug him by the hair?
Hu, hey, let me bite him in the haunches!
Shall he be boiled into broth and bree to me
Shall he roast on a spit or be browned in a
stewpan?
Ice to your blood, friends!
Yup....music was soooooo much better then.
And even in those portions you stated there were not swears.
I saw one of those rock musicians at an awards show and he talked about the need to f... up the system (read without the ellipses). Edvard Grieg and Henrik Ibsen never said anything like that.
Even Igor Stravinsky with his noisy "Rite of Spring" only said he wanted to give music new life -- not f... it up or f... up society (read without the ellipses)!
