Sorry I missed this earlier...I haven't listened to Bore-tz for years, but will avail myself of the opportunity to trash whenever I can :-)

The man will shamelessly trash pro-lifers, but then refuse to take calls on the subject of abortion. Very early on in the Obama administration, prior to Santelli's seminal rant, there was a nascent tea party movement afoot to send teabags to legislators. Boortz pooh-poohed the notion of an organized Tea Party as an ineffectual movement, then after the first get togethers in March/April 2009, he saw them as a venue to push his stupid "Fair Tax" book.

Again, I don't listen to him. He's an intellectually dishonest coward. I am forced to listen to his promos on a local talk station, and every time I hear his voice I'm reminded of what a dolt he is.

He reminds me of the old drunk woman with no teeth in the back of a biker bar who thinks the louder she is, the more seriously people will take her.

"Very impressive. You certainly refuted everything he said with your arguments. Please let us know when you are going to call his show. I’d love to hear you rip him an new one."

I have been able to get through to his show "twice".

I firmly believe that it was my first call (over two years ago) that put him on his NO ABORTION CALLS routine!

He lost, I won and HE knew it!

My argument was exactly the one that I am arguing here .. NONE of my tax dollars for "Murdering" children and yes .. The not yet born yet .. ARE CHILDREN!

BOORTZ 'claims' to be a "Constitutial" Attorney and yet .. He could not point out in that Constitution 'Where' it said that I must pay to allow a Womans Right to Murder Her Child!

"Roe v Wade will never be overturned by the court. It will take an amendment. So either go for a Constitutional amendment, or quit wasting time and energy."

This is not about Roe vs Wade (Though I wish it were).
THIS is about Taking MY tax dollars by the use of Government force to fund a woman's Right to Murder her children!

"Well it is MY RIGHT not to be made a part of Murdering your child!"

No it isn't.

THAT my friend is One Hell of an argument!
Would you care to expand on it or are you too busy over there at the DU? (just sayin)

I thought I had explained. We don’t get to fund the government a la carte.

“Eight in 10 or more say an abortion should be legal ... when the pregnancy was caused by rape or incest."

I may catch hell here and risk being called "extreme" or a "Zealot" but .. I just don't see HOW it was the child's fault and WHY must the child be Murdered because of it!?

This kind of thinking only allows the belief that there is ANY Morally Acceptable reason for Child Murder!

"I thought I had explained. We don’t get to fund the government a la carte."

The problem with your way of thinking is Exactly why we are in the financial crisis that we are in now!

MY way of thinking is that Government .. Should Not be allowed a la carte spending on whatever "They Deem" to be worthy!

Your way of thinking allows Government to 'deem' that Everyone deserves a home, deserves a Cadillac, deserves steak every evening for dinner .. on and on and on!

The "Fair Housing" quagmire teach you anything at all?

I guarantee you my way of thinking did not bring on this crisis. You are mistaken about what my way of thinking is. Reagan is a big government liberal next to me. Hell, so is George Washington.

MY way of thinking is that Government .. Should Not be allowed a la carte spending on whatever "They Deem" to be worthy!

That's nice. But then there is what actually occurs.

Your way of thinking allows Government to 'deem' that Everyone deserves a home, deserves a Cadillac, deserves steak every evening for dinner .. on and on and on!

Again, it's just what is. Did I write the commerce clause? Was I serving on the court when "implied powers" first came up? Was I involved with the "Slaughterhouse cases" or Wickard v Fillburn? I was not.

What do you want me to do about it? I gathered with other Tea Parties. I write my congressman. I write the local paper (and sometimes get published.) I vote. I live by example. But that doesn't stop the gubmint from doing what it does.

The way this system works, the Congress can pass damn near any law it wants. If the president will sign it, and if the courts will allow it, it stands. The meaning of the words "regulate commerce" is so expansive, and already has been for so long, there is truly no way back. This system, our Constitution, is the Titanic.

Is he seriously suggesting we just go ahead and fund planned parenthood?

I thought he was a libertarian. What a douche.
