It is the day of foolishness.
Don't be somebody's prey, be a predator.
I have a classroom full of students taking a test on Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson. What should I do to them for April Fools?
Hand out the Calculus test, instead.
One year I made caramel apples and took them to work on April 1st. Only one was an onion. The guy who got the onion bit it and made a weird face. Then he bit it again and asked, “Why does this taste like garlic?”
I’ll do that to my next class.

Is that an April Fools joke?
Seriously, I’m surprised Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson are still taught in our schools.
Thank you for your good work. No ideas about an April Fools joke on this.
Give a pop quiz....with an essay question. ;-)

Hell yeah. I wish I could copy and paste some questions because they’re actually very hard and prepare the kids for Freshman Comp. I spent one week on Whitman and one on Dickinson. I teach a comprehensive literature program from Puritan to Steinbeck with 4 essays and @ 50 Latin/Greek roots and an MLA research paper.
I don’t fool around. Conservative teachers make the best teachers because they realize that they are there to fill a kids head with information they can use and not expressive readings of “Twilight” like some liberal lit teachers.
Test Question:
What is the date of Whitman and Dickenson’s 25th Wedding Anniversary?
Today is Friday, test and relax day, so they’re taking their unit test and then watching “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” to introduce them to literary realism.
Tape the underside of a computer mouse. A classic geek prank.

You deserve a huge THANK YOU. That’s very encouraging!
Good one.
I do not observe this stupid exercise of futility.
Anybody who even attempts to try any stunt on me will see the floor up close and personal.
Honestly it may be a holiday for kids but not adults, even here on Fr a day like this i almost have to stop posting the whole day because of immature stupid prank threads.
I’m going to write that on the board as the extra credit question for one point and see how many of them get it right.
That's an April fools joke, right?
Extra credit! Perfect! :0)
