Dude, I recommend it. Even I was expecting some anti-American crap but I was FN surprised..boy oh boy. Summary: American soldiers save the day and not some liberal, how’s that?

My GF also chose TANGLED’ which I recommend. It’s not exactly for girls, and it didn’t have a tinge of libtardism. If you hate Hollyweird and dont want to fork over your dough but watch movies which count, do as I do..download by bittorrent.

What are you talking about? He's married and has confessed to having a predilection for breasts.

I loved it. It portrays the military as full of men and women of loyalty and honor, with love of country. “Retreat, Hell!” is a common theme.

They gave citizens a chance, conducting a search-and-rescue mission, as well as protecting them. It was never an individual thing, and there were no cowards - everyone was a team.

Liberals wouldn’t be able to understand.

Cable TV showed this movie tonight. Is it the same as the one in the theaters that you saw?

I was disappointed in the TV version - perhaps cut too much.

The opening was an immediate confrontation with a UFO and some of our fighters. From that point, it was nonstop action with very little dialog or plot (other than we're the good guys and they're the bad guys, so kill ‘em).

Very little character development, limited dialog, no mystery or intrigue - nothing to make you think. It was designed to only be a ‘feel good’ movie, which, IMO, barely achieved that.

I definitely got the feeling that at least an hour of the movie had been cut out. (It was 2 hours TV time with commercials.)

I will see it, but will wait for iTunes to release it.
I can’t stand going to the theater.

I saw it tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I was hoping it wasn't going to be cheesy.

Are you properly prepared for an alien invasion? No, not the Latino kind...

I was alluding to “artsy” films. Should have myself more clear perhaps.

That was a rip off B movie by the Sci-Fi ch. The same people who brings you such classics as Wolf turtle Vs. Bear bunny summer camp.

ROTFLOL

Thanks for cluing me in to that ripoff.
I didn't even notice the 1 word change in the title, lol.

Instead of Battle for Los Angeles, it was Battle of Los Angeles. Here's the description from TVGuide online:

Battle of Los Angeles
2011, TV Show.

Alien spacecraft attack Los Angeles in the first wave of an invasion, and humanity's survival depends upon two soldiers who must breach the mother ship and destroy it from within. Nia Peeples, Kel Mitchell.

My husband saw it yesterday and did not like it. It’s his kind of movie also. I like that kind of movie also, and he told me I should pass on it. Hmm.

Wolf turtle Vs. Bear bunny summer camp

Well from that title, they're probably getting better now :^)

Just watched the trailer for the theater release:
Battle: Los Angeles

What I saw on TV was DEFINITLY NOT the theater release, LOL.

The trailer looked a lot more interesting, so I’ll probably go see it.

Thanks for the heads up.

(I gotta get out more - too much time on FR, lol.)

;^D

Roger Ebert hated it

Fine theme for an ad campaign.

I just got through watching the TV version, talk about cheesy effects, man it was so cheesy it was unreal, there should be a law against TV shows like this.

I swear there must be some complete idiots somewhere, maybe some small studio with file footage stolen with a cellphone camera from a theater.

Don’t waste your time watching the one on TV.

Looks good in trailers. Course, any movie in which much of LA is flattened can’t be all bad.

LA - not worth the Gringos fighting for it. Let the aliens duke it out with the Hispanic invaders.

anything bad enough in it that kids, 10 & 11, can’t see it? I don’t worry too much about language (depending on how it’s used) but I don’t like movies w/ sex scenes.
