Green Bay Packers fans turned out in droves to welcome their Super Bowl championship football team back to town on Monday.
Fans lined the city streets all along the Packers route from Austin-Straubel Airport back to Lambeau Field after the teams plane landed around 1:45 p.m. The players and coaches traveled in a caravan of Green Bay city buses, and on some streets fans were lined up as much as five or six people deep, on both sides.
The crowds grew considerably larger the closer the team got to Lambeau. Upon arriving at the stadium, thousands of fans were waiting in the parking lots and had packed the plaza outside the Lambeau Field atrium.
Fans dressed warmly to brave the winter weather, which actually wasnt much colder than what the team experienced during the past week in Dallas leading up to Super Bowl XLV. A variety of signs were visible, including many depicting the Vince Lombardi Trophy with the message, Welcome Home, and others with a drawing of a championship belt, in honor of quarterback Aaron Rodgers now famous touchdown celebration.

In spite of my argumentative nature, I can take no offense from your sentiments, other than not pointing out that the Bears still suck.
A great day in Trophy Town!
I think he called but Green Bay was too busy partying to answer the phone for a nobody.
He has...and he invited them to the White House, recently.
Lombardi like his pizza with Wisconsin CHEESE only!
World Champs! The Lombardi Trophy came home.
Yea, but at least the Bears got close ... closer then the Cowgirls. LOL! The only thing the Bears need is a coach that doesn’t panic when things get tight. A coach that thinks rather then scrabbles for ideas. The Bears need another Ditka and all will be well. IMHO
C’mon, I’m a life long Packer fan. I can’t be expected to empathize that! :{) It’s hard for Packer fans to not gloat right now...and I apologize for the lot of us...but I must point out that we haven’t rioted or burned anything so far.
...empathize (with) that...
LOL! As a life long Bears fan, I was just trying to slip one past you. Congrats to all in Packer land ... great job.

nice pics - take a look
another thing just in passing... I didn’t see any news reports of people destroying stuff in GB after a win - like Chi-town, LA and other places after big sports wins.
life long Packer fan myself.....however, if we are to keep up with L.A., Detroit...and other sports franchises....we need to quickly burn some of our heavily insured but obsolete buildings...and a few outdated, insured police vehicles......new stuff is nice
Thanks exoeni. I missed these great pix on JS online.
They are fantastic. The PACK is back! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was the Packers who stopped themselves on offense.
We could have scored 21 more points easily!
I cant wait until the Packers have won 16 World Championships which should be about the year 2016.
*It takes the Packers on average every 7 years to win a World Championship.
It takes the Steelers on average every 13 years to win a World Championship.
13 is better than 6!!!
Enjoy it, because the decade is young, and it belongs to Dallas.
Rogers is twice as good as Romo. Good Luck!
