This video was taken in Anchorage, AK. back in June 2008. A good Sunday video to get you ready for the week. The person who took the video had this to say about the day they took the video.
"It was a warm day and mother was lying down next to the shed for a couple of hours. We finally realized that she was overheated so I put the sprinkler out for her and her little one discovered it first. I wasn't nervous because the mother is a neighborhood moose and has been coming to our yard for years with her little ones. Neighborhood moose are generally comfortable with people unless their little ones are brand new."

I must have watched that video 20 times I am so in love with it, but that is the first time I noticed the scar on momma moose.
That mus have been one hell of a fight with whatever tried to take her down.
Mountain lion you think? Or maybe wolves, I hear they get pretty big up in those parts.
